I am a single mommy who had learned to cook at the age of 5 when my mom taught me how to make biscuits for the first time and that is where my love affair for cooking began.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook really vary. I love to make spaghetti and meatballs for my daughter, fried chicken and biscuits for my sister and her family, bbq chicken for my dad...so you see it varies on the request. :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite cooking traditions are when we all are in the kitchen working. I have always been in charge of the bread since my mom has a knack for burning it. Lol As for traditions, mom's stuffing and pumpkin pies are a staple since she is the one that taught me.
My cooking triumphs
Making my own beef stroganoff and it turning into a hit, my three tiered cake I made last year for my daughter, creating chicken soup from scratch, perfecting my sauces for spaghetti and lasagna.
My cooking tragedies
Under cooked food in general is a tragedy regardless the meal. I was learning how to cook and it was the over cooked on the outside and under cooked inside problem. Then it was the how to I get it not to dry out like shoe leather. Trials and tribulations of a rookie cook...lol
