Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2013
I made a lemon pound cake out of this recipe by adding 1 cup lemon juice and 2 teaspoons zest. This is the best EVER! If it weren't for the stamps, I'd mail you money to make this JUST so you would know how good this is. I beg you, try this.

Southern Style Chicken and Dumplings

This recipe is extraordinary! It is delicious and simple. The only thing I changed was instead of the water in the dumplings, I used chicken broth. Delicious!

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: May 16, 2013
This is great! Just enough sweetness and lemon. But I didn't make this for the drink. I made it and collected the lemon seeds and soaked them overnight. Then I planted them in a pot indoors with pebbles on top, and all of them came up, and now they're all 6 inches tall! Smart and easy way to grow lemon trees!

White Raspberry Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
These were THE BEST! My younger brother was so excited when I told him I was making these, instead of "those nasty chocolate chip muffins!" I did make some changes and substitutions, though. I didn't have raspberry extract, so I used almond instead. I also used two cups of raspberries instead of one, and made an icing to go on top. The recipe is below if anyone is interested. Icing 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, 3/4 teaspoon almond extract 3 teaspoons milk Combine all ingredients well. Drizzle over warm muffins.

Fudge Puddles

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
This recipe depends on the chocolate chip brand and the peanut butter you use. If you use good brands that you like, they're going to taste like them. I used Hershey's Milk Chocolate chips and Skippy peanut butter with honey, and they tasted FABULOUS! Very creamy and rich. Actually, they were so good that when I woke up in the middle of the night, I saw my brother (works night shift) sitting at the table with the whole plate in front of him, eating them! Great recipe!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
For a never fail way to bake this cheesecake without cracks start with a short period, 10 minutes say, in a hot oven (425F) then take the temperature right down quickly (leaving the door ajar to aid cooling) to a slow/very slow (260-270F) for about 40 minutes, or until it feels springy. then switch off and leave the cheesecake to cool inside the oven, slowly as the oven cools itself with the door shut. Using this method I've never had any cracks, the cheesecake stays very moist due to a quick "sear" at the start, then slow cooking and a slow cool-down to avoid cracks.

Most Amazing Challah

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
Oh, WOW! These were the biggest loaves I have ever seen or made. I made two, and only one loaf could fit in the oven, so I used both ovens. The taste is wonderful. The smell of vanilla during baking filled the entire house, and even outdoors you could smell it. The texture is great, too, and is very soft. I used this recipe for french toast, and everyone said it was the best they have ever tasted. I agree, personally. The only downside to making two large ones is, that you have to scrub the oven door because it won't fit! And you can use any yeast you have on hand, not just quick-rise yeast.
