Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2014
VERY GOOD added 1 tsp real vanilla and 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg it says 4 cups which is perfect for this NOT 4 pounds as gogogadget stated as "to much" 4# would be way to much .

Eggnog Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
Prepared as written with substituting rum extract 2 tsp for rum needed more flavor even with fresh nutmeg grated on top it needed vanilla and nutmeg / cardamon. Texture was the problem ----did it in processor and it was like a soft pudding not the mouth feel of cheese cake nor softness of silk pie --1-2 minutes in processor or just use a whip on a mixer ---needs texture---- As for comments on being to flat --check pan size I have 4 sizes of spring molds most used is my 12" not the 9" as called for

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
I used precooked lasagna noodles (15) perfect in 9x13 pan. For the cooked chicken I poached 1 whole breast in 2cups of water to which I added oregano, diced garlic, basil -- for 30 minutes cooled and the cut up --used the liquid for broth

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2004
I used block parmesan cheese. At the end of 1 hour it was very watery so I whisked 1 tablespoon flour into 1/3 cup sour cream and pushed potatoes etc to the side and whisked into simmering liquid -perfect sauce, I also skipped the browning ( I used 1" chops) but did add onion and garlic powder the beef bouillion I used was "seasoned" so it added flavor - from the description I could be a little bland

Ham and Cheese Breakfast Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2003
the concept is great but the recipe could use some help - 1. I used 7 cups of shredded potatoes mixed woith butter and put into 9x12 pan and baked at 425 for 25 minutes not at all brown so they got 10 more minutes. 2. used 4 eggs as suggested, used 1/2 & 1/2 and added green onion (1/2 c), mustard (1tsp), 2 oz pimentoes, 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce and 2 tsp pork seasoning mix everyone liked it but it still needed more flavor - next time I will use sharp cheddar and fresh parmesan cheese

Perfect for a summer day!! I also made it with banana pudding and put sliced bananas on the crust before adding the pudding. Also I cut all the ingredients in half and pout it into a 7x11 pan - it was perfect!!

Brandied Orange and Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
A winner - even non cranberry people liked it - but if you don't want all the juice -- whisk together 1Tbs cornstarch and 2 Tbs cold water and slowly add to hot mixture and whisk to thicken.

Apple Yam Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2002
this was an excellent recipe with one minor problem recipe calls for 1/2 cup water (8Tbs) of which 1/3 cup (5.3Tbs) are added with sugar leaving aproximately 3 Tbs for for combining with 3 Tbs flour to thicken = dosen't work. Needs a 1 to 2 proportion (example if you use 3Tbs flour need 6 Tbs water) other wise lumps result and cannot be sieved out. A winner at Thanksgiving this year!
