Cranberry Chutney I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
My first foray into chutney... I made this the day of, and it was awful, super vinegar flavor and pretty bitter. The second day however! WOW! My husband says he prefers this to gravy on turkey, and he LOVES gravy (he even puts it on his stuffing). It was gone before the rest of the left overs, so it was a pretty great hit! :)

Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
My 4 year old son and I made these for a BBQ. They were a HUGE hit! My husband loves these, and my son who usually doesn't love sweets couldn't stop talking about them. They're very rich and dense but still airy. We used real butter and white chocolate that I chipped into chunks from a slab, with about 1/2 cup milk chocolate and they are really wonderful. I will definitely make these again, thank you!

Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
These are really beautiful. I've made these on several occasions, with the whole wheat flour and without. You really don't much notice the whole wheat in them. They're fluffy and so wonderful with butter served with a nice stew.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
My husband and I have both made this recipe several times, and they always turn out beautiful. Sometimes I use a 1/8 cup measure to put them on the pan, sometimes I use a tablespoon. They both produce large cookies, but the tblspoon size ones are more child friendly. Our family loves this recipe! thank you!

Chocolate Oil Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
I've made this cake 4-5 times now, and it's a hit with our family. It seems to taste a little bitter but sweet and rich, it's a really great blend of flavors!

Snickerdoodles IV

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
I added 1/4 tsp Cinnamon, 1/8 tsp cloves and 1/8 tsp ginger to the batter, these are absolutely amazing! I don't know what they taste like without the spices, but I'm going to try them plain next time :) I might have made them too small. I used a tbl spoon to measure the dough out, and they were done in like 5 minutes. The last batch is in the oven now, and the kids and my hubby have demolished the first pan out of the oven already!

I made these tonight, exactly as is... I have to say, wow! I love them! They're not too sweet at all... oops I lied, I put in more vanilla. Made 35 large cookies and 32 small ones! Just wonderful, I am sure they will go amazing with the icing and my daughter's class will love them! Thank you so much!

Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
I asked my kids what they'd rate this recipe, my son said 'ten hundred' and my daughter said 'four' I feel it's around a 4.5 so 5 is good :) We didn't have cream, so just used 2% milk, and added a bit more than 1/3 cup because it was still a bit thick for us. Really delicious recipe :)

Five Flavor Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
I made this cake in two 8 inch rounds. There was way too much batter so it over flowed, a lot. But the cake was absolutely wonderful. I baked them for approximately 70 minutes and they were done. I also added 1tbl lemon juice and the zest of one lemon and omitted the coconut, lemon, rum and butter flavor. I iced with butter cream in a layer cake, received very good reviews! I'll make this again with less sugar, because I did find that to be slightly overwhelming
