Wow, this is amazing every time. I add chopped pecans and it's a hit every time. I just wish I could make this just as good low cal.

Wonton Wrappers

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
Great recipe. I used my Pasta roller attachment for my KA-Mixer. I must have rolled them too thin as I rolled them all the way to 10. They held together for the pot sticker filling, but when I steamed them, they didn't lift out. I read on line to only roll them to 6. I will try batches at 6, 7 & 8 this time around. It was so incredibly easy and fun to make.

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
Yummy. Best chops ever. I did make a small change. To utilize the time that I had in the early afternoon, I prepared the food up to the point of cooking on low. I then transfered the whole thing to the crock pot on low for 4 hours. I left the meat in the pot on warm while preparing the sauce. Turned out great with very little work at dinner time.

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
Outstanding as it is. I have made this or a version of it more times than I can count. I normally add about 1 lb of chicken diced. Sometimes I top with sour cream/cream of chicken soup sauce and others mix in/top with red enchilada sauce. Also, I've subbed Cheddar jack for my little kids that don't like the heat. Sometimes we eat it without the shells. Really a great recipe.

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
I tried this as the recipe is written and with some of the adjustments. It just turned out soggy. I think it could be great if it was written with all of the changes, but currently just turns out to be sweet soggy egg bread. I won't try this again.

Springtime Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2006
Big hit in our family (including 3 year old and 1 year old) and a great way to get in lots of veggies. My changes: sub fat free half & half for the cream; sub chicken broth for white wine; any type of noodle can be used well. We have used penne and spaghetti. Overall great basic recipe and fixture in our menu rotation. One tip, don't overcook the veggies.

This always get rave reviews. Here is how I have chaned the recipe based on trial and error as well as other recommendations: Cut in 1/2, remove seeds and spray with EVOO. Roast Squash in oven before pealing at 375 for 45 min. OR microwave 1/2 at a time meat side down for 8-10 min. sub butter for margerine; sub parsley for marjoram; sub all spice for cayenne; add garlic; reduce cream cheese by 1/2; use inverted blender stick.

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
Outstanding! Cooking time was more like 2 hours because we let it marinate overnight. Next time I might cook it the day I make it and then just reheat it when it's time to eat.

Luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2005
This was a HUGE hit at our lake party this weekend. I doubled the recipe and it still was gone in no time. Used marinated artichokes and canned spinach. I put the last 5 ingredients in the food processor and then mixed with the artichoke and spinach. AMAZING!

Easy Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2005
This is a great quick and easy way to make Ice Cream. I'm pregnant and trying to avoid the egg base recipies. This was a great alternate. I did add the flavored 1/2 & 1/2. Next time I will only use 1 c flavored and 1 c plain. It was almost too sweet. My husband was surprised that there was no sugar added.

Broccoli Chicken Divan

My change: I add curry powder to the soup mixture. This recipe is very similar to my mom’s and it always reminds me of her. It is a hit every time I make it for my husband and 16 month old son.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2005
A-mazing! Can I say it again… AMAZING! This was a really great soup, but you should try it for yourself. I did sub some things… Bullion for broth, Italian seasoning for the basil & oregano. I also used canned tomatoes and added a tbl 6 pepper seasoning to spice it up a bit. I served it with a Caesar Salad, but also think that crusty bread would go great with this dish. I also think this would be a great dish for kids (if no additional spicy peppers are added.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
Outstanding recipe. So simple and a real winner. I've made this at least 5 times for my family and gave the recipe to friends. Its always a winner. I also add carrots and celery and an onion quartered. After roast is done, I thicken the sauce to a gravy and serve with mashed potatoes.

Margarita Chicken II

I wish I could give this 6 stars. It was amazing. I grilled the chiken and then basted it with the sauce. Wow. I can't say enough about how great this was. The chicken was perfectly tender. I almost wanted to skip the fixin's and just eat the meat. My husband has asked that I add this to the rotation. I will!
