Citrus Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
Really delicious, moist, and fragrant turkey, I only got to sample a little bit because the people I made it for gobbled it up in no time! Plus my friends originally didn't like turkey because it was dry but this recipe definitely changed their minds.

Carrot Cake XI

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
Delicious carrot cake! It is super-duper moist!! What is great is that since carrots already have a lot of moisture, you can substitute applesauce for the oil to make it healthier. I also sprinkled in ground cloves, ground nutmeg, and allspice to give it more spice :)

Snickerdoodles III

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
This is a super delicious cookie. Guaranteed success if you follow the recipe as is. :) I made it ahead of time for a bake sale. My dad loved them so much he gave me $5 for 5 of these. I think I am going to only sell them $0.75 each.

Gooey Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
Certified DELICIOUS! :) I found the dough to be wonderfully easy to work with. I used I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spread instead of softened butter and also used whipped frosting. It made a wonderfully play-dough textured dough really easy to work with. It's also fun rolling in cake sprinkles :) Also, the 10-13 baking time is rather correct or else the bottoms will burn which you don't want This cookie doesn't spread very much when it bakes. Instead it puffs up so you can easily put a bunch of them on the baking sheet at a time. Also, when I made it, the amount was much more than 2 dozen. Made about 30 cute little puffy cookies.

Glorious Sponge Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
I made this in time for my birthday for my family. First time I attempted to make a sponge cake! I halved the recipe and made about 10 cupcakes with this. Baked at 325 degrees for 35 min. The cake itself was just-right in sweetness so I didn't need frosting. I cut each cupcake in half and spread berry-flavored Chobani (kiddie version that is whipped) with some jam in the middle, sprinkled some powdered sugar on top, and served it. Deelish.
