Did you ever find yourself sitting still in front of the mind control box /TV/ and all of a sudden think. "I need to be in the kitchen."  You know, hooking up some kind of veggie / Beef thing that is suppose to end the day on a perfect note.   You have the wine.  The music is a click away.  All you need to do is get inspired.

That's what I find great about this site.  I tend to lean towards this site alot.  But to honest, I also follow a lot of bloggers who speak of taste and treats.  Although I grew up in Atlantic Canada. My wife is a prairie  girl.  She knows little about seafood.  It's truly so sad.  She basically hates it.  Talk about being held hostage.   Anyway,  I'm watching the Jays and Yankees duel it out and it just hit me.  "We need a great meal tonight".

So here it goes.  That same old erg to get the web page going and find that perfect meal for a Sunday night.  Something that goes well with a Cab Sav. Maybe a little heat.  Something tart but not sour.  I'm thinking Potatoes but maybe a good pasta.  How about  a marinara based Lasagna  with zucchini and shrimp. LOL.  Well maybe Ital sausage.   Well Maybe shrimp.  Too bad you can't split it half and half.

Hell with it.  Shrimp it is.  She has eaten it before.  She has to learn  "RIGHT".

But maybe not a marinara.  Why does the las always have to be tomato based.  You know.  I bet a great Alfredo or Salsa would be just as good.  Or maybe a w/wine and lemon cream thing. with Sausage as well.   Hey, now were talking.  I gotta look into that w/w and lemon cream thing.  Shallots and shrums.  Shrimp ans Sausg.  A short dash of Cayenne mixed in with the chili flakes and Italiano. Don't forget about the zucchini, and lets add some bell pepper for color.  And then.  Wait for it.  Garnish it with fresh diced tomatoes and grated parm.

Now I bet we should add a fresh garlic loaf to go with all that goodness.  And I think I'll switch the Cab Sav or a Chard.   Well this being my first post, I'm hoping That I'll be able to add to it.  If not, I'll let you know about the cream thing.

Might as well add some lemon zest to that sauce, and maybe a tablespoon of tomato paste for interest. Or forget the paste and maybe whack up 5 or 6 sun dried tomatoes and add that to the sauce. I think the shrimp and sausage combo sounds really good! What cheeses would you use in this dish? Ricotta, parm and gruyere?
