It was a bad weather day at school, so I was happy to stay home and use whatever ingredients we had on hand. Mom was happy I was cooking. I took this picture fresh from the oven (See the steam?). It was one of my first experiences with my enamel-covered cast iron casserole, which I love because it goes from stove top to oven!
