Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
Right now I'm giving it 3 stars. I haven't tried it out yet on the family. First time making it and it seems okay. I went with the brown sugar and honey bit (THEINGRAMS4 review) and added a little nutmeg. Twenty minutes was fine when slicing the tater in four chunks and I used 6 medium sized sweet potatoes and used a small hand whisk to whip them up.

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
Okay here goes. They were freaking awesome....I'm a pepper guy so I didn't use all of the salt they asked for but just enough to cover the chops and then pepper them. I removed the lid the second simmer but I think the 20 minutes was a bit to much. They were good but maybe a bitwell done. I'll experiment the next time with about 15 for the second simmer. I removed the onions and mixed some water with corn starch then into the water and juices and the gravy turned out terrific. Had that bit of peppery kick to it that I like. Definitely will make again. I give it 4 stars because I think everything needs a bit improving......enjoy.

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
Really not that great. You can barely taste the garlic and the honey flavor is non existent, chicken is tender though.

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
Not bad, not bad at all. I think it may need more garlic but I thought the spices such as cayenne pepper was just about right. I used 3 tsps. of the cayenne and 1/2 cup tabasco in the butter. I dried the wings well, the flour held and I baked them on a rack as suggested. I've read reviews where people complain of them being soggy and all I can say is that they are probably not drying them well. Maybe some black pepper next time...

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I thought they were quite good actually. Mixed them in a ziplock with some EEVO,pepper, garlic salt, seasoned salt (just a bit) and a teaspoon and a half of cayenne pepper. They were about as crispy as your going to get them unless you leave them in a bit longer but 20 minutes at 400 degrees one side and turn them and bake for about 23 minutes more and they turned out great.

I ha dbeen looking for a reciepe tah t would make thick pork chops tender and this is the one. It's does need some taste to it though. I put some garlic salt with pepper on them and then put Dijon mustard all over them. They came out quite tasty. I'm cooking them again tonight.

I served this as a starter dish and everyone wanted more. Actually I thought I made enough to feed my army but it all disappeared. Grandkids and everyone loved it.

BBQ Dry Rub

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2004
Very easy rub to make. I really didn't think to much about the taste of it but my family tells me my taste buds are gone because I use to many hot spices. I used this rub on baby backs, covered them in foil and left them in the refrigerator overnight, slow roasted in the oven and grilled 10 minutes on the grill. My family said that they were "THE BEST RIBS EVER ATE". I'm doing it again today. P.S. - Added some garlic powder also.

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2004
I've probably been responsible for the slaugter of a herd of cattle trying to find a good rib reciepe but this is the one. Talk about tender mmmm, mmmm good. I used Denise Smith's dry rub reciepe for the oven cooking and threw BBQ sauce on them when I put them on the grill for a few minutes. GREAT!
