Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2003
Makes very tasty bars. I used raspberry jam with seeds and did not foil line my pan (just greased it lightly with butter) and they turned out smashing. Easy to make, the hardest part is waiting for them to cool!

Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
These are maybe the best cookies I have ever made... I am a huge molasses fan, i kinda just tossed the spices in and amped them up a bit, also i used pumpkin pie spice because i didnt have cloves or ginger. Also I used half brown sugar half white to ensure they were soft. delicious and beautiful.

Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
Read the other reviews if you want, but this recipe is great, as-is. I would however recommend putting the chocolate chips in the pie shell before poring the filling in, they do melt. I think a lot of reviewers that complain about the amount of filling being too much, are using an insufficient pie plate. There are many different sizes out there folks! The shallow ones are for thin pies like pumpkin pie, NOT this pie! I use a pyrex pie dish they currently sell for only 5 bucks, its the one with the scallop edges you can find anywhere. It is PERFECT! Bake 50 minutes, in the bottom 1/3 of your oven and you will be impressing everyone who is lucky enough to get a slice. This is a great recipe and I be adding it to my line-up! I use Jack Daniels® at the full 1/4 cup recommended.

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2005
I did not read the reviews before trying this out. In hindsight, yes, I think if the bacon was precooked a bit, it might be nice (I hate rubbery bacon, ew) But, I did cook it according to the directions, and if you use a thin-sliced bacon, on a hot grill, it did turn out wonderful and they were all gobbled up at my barbeque. ALSO- I did not use full slices of bacon, I cut them in half! But make sure they fit around the size of shrimp you use before cutting them all, you don't want to cut them too short and waste with the bacon not fitting! Very popular and I will definitely make again! I also tossed the shrimp with some terriaki sauce and marinaded 1/2 hour beforehand.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2003
Delicious pie! I usually make the "traditional" apple pie we all know for the holidays. This year when I ran across this recipe it sounded too good to pass up. I made it on a whim without testing it first for my Thanksgiving, it was a HUGE hit! I was a little worried when first making it that it would be weird having a apple pie with no cinnemon, but you get over that when you see the BEAUTIFUL pie this becomes. The top crust is golden and crunchy, a perfect presentation!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2003
This carmel popcorn is a HIT! I served it at a party, one person that claims up and down he "hates" popcorn, loved it! I also made it for my fall wedding, we put it in fall patterned "goodie bags" as favors. My one comment is to make sure you use shallow enough pans when baking so you cook evenly, and to be careful using Caphlon. I used 2 "lasagna" sized pans, one a cheapy kind, and one my caphlon, and the caphlon pan BURNED the carmel on the bottom of the pan and i could not stir in the burned carmel at the bottom as it would all taste burnt. VERY GOOD, a little messy to make, i always end up with carmel corn stuck to my socks after making this in my kitchen (kind of hard to stir "cleanly", some usually ends up on my floor!).
