Chili II

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
I loved this spin on chili. I have been cooking chili a lot lately and wanted something different. I used ketchup instead of tomato paste. I used red wine vinegar instead of red wine. and I used diced tomato with onion instead of stewed tomato. I used the same spices and cant wait to taste this again tomorrow for lunch.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
I omitted the zucchini and it was still delicious! I have made this several times with different kinds of sausage, so use what you like. Also, whether using fresh or frozen spinach, it still comes out terrific!

I accidentaly preheated the oven to 350 instead of 375. The cookies were soft in the middle, just the way I like them. I will make these again and again, thanks for sharing!

Peanut Butter Fudge Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
I have been making these bars for about 10 years. I make these every christmas and for birthday celebrations at work. My coworkers have gotten into arguments if someone was off the day I brought them in and they missed out. I have learned to make 2 batches (in 2 separate pans) so there are plenty to go around! ps must be washed down with milk

Coconut Pecan Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
This is so easy and very yummy. I flattened a chicken breast, but did not cut it into strips. I used vanilla yougurt, not plain. I used italian bread crumbs, not panko. I baked it in the oven for about 25 minutes and it came out juicy. I love the coconut and pecan combination. Thanks for sharing this recipe, I will make it often.

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
I only gave 4 stars because of the salt. Why didnt I read the comments before I added the salt? live and learn. I will try these chops again without the salt. I made gravy with the drippings, but it was to salty so I added honey which helped a little. definetely try this easy recipe.

Strawberry Oatmeal Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Very Yummy! altho I made a few changes. Definetely double the recipe if you want a full pan of bars. I also used brown sugar instead of white. The one mistake I made: I added waaayy to much strawberry preserves. 1 and 1/2 cups should be plenty if you double the recipe.
