Campbell's® Slow Cooker Hearty Beef and Bean Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
Very easy and tasty. I made a few adjustments - omitted the soup, water and cumin. I added 2 cups of tomato sauce and the chili was hearty and very tasty. Served it with some cornbread and a salad for a nice winter dinner.

Sweet Carrot Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
way way way too sweet for our taste...would omit the honey and pineapple and add more lemon juice. Carrots and raisins are sweet enough on their own.

Beef and Pasta Skillet Primavera

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2013
The recipe really easy to prepare and delicious. I added a finely minced onion and clove of garlic to the beef while is was browning (for some extra flavor). I also added some diced sweet red pepper to the tomato and zucchini for added color.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2012
Really delicious... I followed the tips from another reviewer and added 2 cups of fresh cranberries in addition to the canned. It came out perfect...not too sweet, with a hint of tang left in the cranberries. I omitted the salad dressing and added 1/3 cup water to the soup mix; when the fresh cranberries cook down, they release a fair bit of water.

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2014
took far longer to cook than recipe calls for. I tested with a knife after 35 minutes and it was still raw in the center...ended up cooking it for over an hour to get it to cook thoroughly.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2014
I've made this recipe a few times and everybody loves it...so easy and tasty. I rub some salt, pepper, chopped garlic and onion powder on the pork before I pour over the root beer. I let it cook on low for about 8 hours, drain off the root beer and shred the pork, before placing it back in the slow cooker with a few bottles of BBQ sauce on low for about an hour.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2014
Way too much vinegar for my taste. I followed some of the other reviewers and used only 2 tbsp of vinegar and it was still way too sour. Also, the cook time was too long if you sear the ribs first. They're already mostly cooked in the oven, so they would only need 3 - 4 hours in the slow cooker to cook in the sauce. I used bbq sauce in place of the ketchup and salsa in place of the chili sauce. Doubt I'll try it again.

Meatloaf with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2012
I modified this recipe, using red peppers and Oktoberfest sausage (pork and chicken). It came out with hint of sweetness from the red peppers. The addition of the sausage makes it much easier to slice - it doesn't fall apart in the pan like one made with only ground beef.
