Hands down, this is the best meat loaf receipe I have found in years. This is now my old standby.
After making it a few times following the receipe exactly, I took the advice of other reviewers.
I reduced the milk to 1/2 cup. I also added an additional 1/4 teaspoon of ginger to the ketchup. Like other reviewers, I wanted the sauce on top (but I also wanted it on the bottom!) So I doubled my gingered ketchup. I put the ketchup on the bottom as the receipe states and then at the end I brushed it on as a glaze. The remainder of the gingered ketchup was served tableside in lieu of regular ketchup. (And fyi, this is so good, I always double this recipe.)
