Lemon Pepper Dill Fish

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
I MAKE THIS WITHOUT THE LEMON PEPPER, ADD PAPRIKA, PARSLEY, BUTTER AND LEMON JUICE. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE "POORMAN'S LOBSTER". MAKE SURE YOU COVER THE DISH "TIGHT" WITH SARAN WRAP, AND WE COOK OURS FOR ABOUT 10 MINS, 15 IF A BIT FROZEN YET IN THE MIDDLE. OURS ALWAYS TURNS OUT FLAKY, IF YOU BAKE IT THE FISH IS OFTEN TOUGH. THIS IS SOFT AND DELICIOUS. HADDOCK IS BETTER THAN COD FOR THIS RECIPE. NO OTHER WAY TO MAKE THIS FISH!

Asian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
i agree with the previous reviewer in that this needs a lot of tweeking. this is a great recipe in itself, but if you like the peanut taste, add 1 large tablespoon of peanut butter to the dressing (heat for about 30 in microwave to blend better)...this makes it taste soooo better. i do add some white balsamic vinegar and olive oil to balance out the flavors. can marinate the chicken in some garlic and soy sauce. garnish with some flavored slivered almonds that you can buy in the salad section at the store. i do too use the romaine lettuce, this just adds to the flavor...this then tastes a lot like the wendy's brand of oriental chicken salad. thanks for the great recipe in print now...this is a great potluck recipe!

Hot Mustard Pretzel Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
there was something "off" with this recipe. it was very bitter. i tried to sweeten it up a bit with sugar, then honey, even rapsberry jam, it just wouldn't work. i ended up throwing it away...maybe it was the dry mustard that i bought. the concept was good though, i'm still craving this type of recipe.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2006
overall this is a great hearty chili...love the spicy bite...just be careful what type of beef bouillion cubes you use. i used knorr, they are quite a bit larger than just "beef boullion cubes"...thank goodness i only added two, which was one too many! two pototoes helped soak up some of the salt...like any chili it did taste better as time went on!

what an easy and delicious meal! i followed others and added more spices, whatever you like, just make sure they are not all salt products. Everyone loved these! just a hint...1 egg does make the whole batch. I added garlic mashed potatoes flakes, yummy!

Phyl's Salsa

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2005
this recipe is GREAT, just as long as you don't cook it too long. I simmered mine a bit too long and it ended up tasting like chili by the time it was done! It was excellent as we were taste testing it earlier!

Paella I

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2005
This was a good recipe, a bit sticky though, I think I would have soaked the rice like a previous reader stated. I omitted the other seafood except the shrimp. Added more peppers. It really wasn't too much work to get together, the house smelled wonderfully of garlic and peppers!

Authentic Mexican Breakfast Tacos

I have made this similiar recipe for years for my family. I use flour tortillas and add onion, green and/or red pepper to the egg mixture. The chirozo is the best! Top with sour cream and salsa...YUM!

I VERY MUCH ENJOYED THIS SAUCE, EASY TO MAKE. I DID ADD THE ANCHOVY PASTE! THIS IS A SWEET SAUCE, YOU COULD LESSEN THE AMOUNT OF HONEY IF YOU DON'T WANT THE SWEETNESS.

THIS WAS A GOOD PIZZA, I ADDED CHOPPED GARLIC AND USED PORTABELLA MUSHROOMS. YOU COULD ADD AN ALFREDO SAUCE OR RANCH DRESSING FOR EXTRA ZIP. THANKS FOR A LIGHT PIZZA!

Tasty Orange Chops

This recipe was good, but not one of my favorites. I love all the ingredients, but it just didn't trip my trigger. It was too cold to grill outside, so we broiled them, maybe that was the difference. They did taste better the next day for leftovers.
