Ready to COOK!!!
About this Cook
I am a happily single late 50ish female that lives alone with my dogs, the ones that keep me busy. I do like to cook, but it can be challenging when it's just you . So I do lots of cooking for friends and neighbors.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake best. And that means the things that aren't good for you, like cakes, pies, cookies, candies, lol.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am of Polish ancestry, so homemade potato pancakes, anything with sour cream.
My cooking triumphs
Pies, I've always been able to make pretty good pies. My Mom loves my crust and I figured out why mine come out so well, it's because I'm always in a hurry and do them so fast they come out well, cuz the less you touch the dough the better.
My cooking tragedies
LOL, Speaking of pies, years ago, when I was in high school, I misread the recipe and put a cup of flour instead of a TB in with the fruit. I couldn't figure out why their was no juices bubbling over, until I cut into it, ugh.

No Fail Fudge
I read reviews and I think some people didn't have success cuz it is the recipe from the back of Kraft marshmellow creme jar and they did change `the composition. I do it the original way, that is with a bag of chocolate chips. I liked this cuz it was so easy. I don't have a candy thermonotor and was glad I didn't have to use one here. Just make sure you keep stirring and don't let it burn. I think everyone's problem is the recipe change (not using chocolate chips). Maybe we should write Kraft and complain and they would put the old recipe back. Good idea, I'm going to write them right now. :) The stars are for the old recipe. I JUST GOT BACK FROM THE KRAFT SITE AND if anyone would like, they have the old recipe, look up Fantasy Fudge, on the same page, they list the old recipe calling it Classic Fantasy Fudge. Good Luck

No Roll Pie Crust II
I love making this recipe. Everyone always wants me to make a pie, I usually try not to only because I really hate making the pie crusts. So now, everyone, myself included will be happy I'll be taking request again.
