Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
This is my son's favorite in the morning now. I cut and froze the bananas so it makes the drink cold and acts as a thickener. I sometimes use Vanilla Silk for a change and sometimes add a small handful of oats to blend with bananas before adding liquid. Agave is another idea instead of honey. Yummy - just as is also.

Asian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
Made this for dinner tonight. I like to give the recipe a chance before making changes but the only change I made was to cook on BBQ grill. I reserved some of the marinade to put on top slices if needed. My roast was 3 lbs. and I cooked it until 160 degrees, tented it with foil and rested it for 20 min. Perfect and moist. I will certainly make this again but the only thing I would do as some have suggested is to reduce the amount of Sesame Oil by half. It was good as it was but just a little to much for our taste. Wonderful recipe and so excited to cook a Pork Tenderloin that did not come out dry.

Old Settlers' Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2011
Loved this recipe, my husband asked if I saved this one. Made first pot without the meat as didn't have any and it was great then second time made with meat but added 1/2 Chorizo to add a little heat. It is now in my recipes box.

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
These are great! I added 1 t vanilla and pressed the dough into a pizza pan and baked it. Sliced it like a pizza also. My daughter's school sold slices to raise money for drama. Sold out everytime.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2003
This is the closet I have come to LaBou scones. Outside semihard and inside soft and moist. I followed the recipe and added a mixture of 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon and a little lemon zest to the mix at the end, was a little trying should have added to flour mix but decided to do it late. The one bit of advise. Keep mixing do not give up. It took a little more then I thought but it did come together. It is very easy and AWESOME next I will try Marionberrys. This one is a KEEPER!

Thumbprint Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2002
This is an awesome cookie. My family ate them up as fast as they cooled. I used marionberry jam for the filling. I also made a double recipe but from now on I will quad the recipe. I did not have walnuts but I had pecans. It just made them better, if that is possible.

Tea Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2002
I was looking for a tea cookie recipe that my sister used to make. This was definitly not it. This recipe was so dry. It would not hold together. After refrig. it, the dough was falling apart and would bearly hold together to squeeze it into a ball. It tasted dry. I might try using reg. sugar instead of powder sugar in the dough.
