Chinese Fish

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
This recipe was okay. I did make a few changes I used allspice instead of chinese five powder & olive oil instead of canola. Bake in the oven for 20 mins cover with sauce. I did not like the taste of the sauce so I took a small pot & simmer sauce adding two tbls of brown sugar & 2 tbls of honey and another tbls of soy sauce. Add a tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken sauce. Simmer for 10 mins the sauce taste great. I cover the fish with the sauce soooo good. Served with wild rice & kale topped with bacon.

Old-Time Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2011
I just finished making these today they taste great. We pop our popcorn the old fashion way on the store my 15 year daughter was so amazed because she never saw popcorn popped on the stove. A new generation microwave kids lol. Any way I made 2 separate batches the first batch was the best because i forgot to add the water more flavor, held together no problem. As with the second batch I added the water & what a mistake mix was thin like water & the balls would not stay together that's why I'm only giving it 4 stars. I finally gave up trying to form popcorn balls & decided to put them into a large muffin pan. This recipe is a keeper without the water.

Sock it to Me Cake V

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
This cake was ok the texture was not what i expected a little rubbery. Maybe i baked it 2 long I baked it for 1 hour on 325 i also made a few changes with the cinnamon based on the reviews. Instead of vanilla extract i used 3/4 tbls rum extract a drop of vanilla extract & a drop of lemon extract. The cake flavor was great only if the texture was right this would have been a good cake.

Glazed Lemon Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
This recipe is great I did make a few changes by reading some of the other reviews I added an extra teaspoon of lemon extract. Also dont skip out on adding the lemon peel adds so much flavor to cake the peeling disappears into the batter you wont even know it's in there but you can taste it. I zest 1 lemon into batter. The glaze is amazing it really put the cake over the top with lemon flavor. Making the icing is a must this is where the strong lemon flavor come in. I use a muffin bundt pan they looks like little bundt cakes so cute. I will upload a picture. Thanks for such a great recipe! This one is a keeper.....
