Chicken and Rice Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2014
I added carrots. Used chicken broth instead of water to cook rice. It is a bit bland. I thought is was thick so I added some chicken broth to thin it out instead of milk. Will make again but will add some other some other spices. Definitively need to add more liquid than what is called for.

Quick Chicken Paella

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2014
I liked it and may make it again. I did have to modify it because I did not have the rice, that it called for. I made rice with homemade chicken stock. I also did not have the veggies that it called for but I figured any mixed veggies would work. It was a bit spicy for me but I am not big fan spicy foods. My hubby loved it. It was a great way to use up ingredients in my fridge and not go to the store. I say give it a try if you like spicy foods, it may not be overly spicy for you.

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2014
Was tasty and colorful just like others have said. Did not change a thing. Only had 3 hours to marinade the slightly frozen chicken and it was very tasty. Was told by my husband it was a keeper!

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Great. I changed the cheeses to those I had on hand. Pepper jack and Colby jack and Velveeta. Was awesome. Easy to make. Will make again soon.

Healthier Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
Love it! I changed it up just a bit. I had some sweet potatoes that needed to be used so I used them also. I cooked the carrots, onions, celery, with salt and pepper, in a little olive oil. I did this before following the rest of the recipe. It is wonderful. I am looking forward to serving it with cheesy wheat bread.

Slow Cooker Bolognese

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
It was fine but not outstanding. I did not have whole milk, I used skim, but i can not imagine that made a huge difference.

Ham 'n' Noodle Hot Dish

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
Was a nice change from our usual with leftover ham. My only complaint is that there was not enough cheese sauce. I cooked some chopped onions add the ham and peas to the onions before adding them to the sauce. I took the advice of another reviewer and added some sour cream. It was tasty just a little dry. Will make again.

Oven Fried Chicken IV

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
After reading many reviews I was looking forward to trying this recipe. I took some of the suggestions by adding a little milk and the spices to the sour cream. It was messy to make, but I can deal with that. I have to say that no one in the family liked this recipe. My family of 6, is not picky eaters and they all said, "Don't make this again." I think that the sage was way to strong. I was disappointed when I took it out of the oven and the coating came off as I lifted the pieces to the serving dish. I did remove the skin, before coating the chicken, in hopes that the favor would be in the chicken. We took the coating off and the chicken was moist with no favor. Will not make again. :(

Blueberry Boy Bait

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2003
Was disappointed that when I took this out of the oven I could not see the topping or the blueberries. They had all sunk to the bottom. It was not very sweet which was nice and was very moist.
