Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
This is a Great recipe and I make it for dinner all the time. The only 'extra' I add is some dried minced onion. I also bake this for 1 hour and 10-15 minutes just to make sure the potatoes get done. The first time I made it I baked for 1 hour and the potatoes were still a little hard. I'm getting groceries tonight and the ingredients are on my list!

Chicken Wild Rice Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
I'm going to break the trend here...I made this soup last night for dinner - exactly as stated in the recipe - and we did not care for it at all. It came out much thicker than I expected (all the flour) and the color was not very pleasing. It did smell great and the flavor wasn't bad...but the thick texture and color didn't make it very appetizing.

Portobello Penne Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2006
I used more minced garlic (maybe 1 1/2-2 Tbsp) and some garlic salt - otherwise I made this recipe as stated. It was very good, the portobello mushrooms give it a nice, almost smokey flavor. My meat eating husband had seconds. I will definitely make this again.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
I make this dip whenever we have a party. The only thing I do differently is I use a jar of sun-dried tomato alfredo sauce. I bake the dip in the oven and then scoop it into a small crockpot and keep on warm throughout the party. It's great served w/ Triscuits & Wheat Thins. I'm always asked for this recipe.

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2005
This is a great recipe. I followed it exactly - except I used 1 tsp cloves, 1 tsp all-spice and 2 cups of sugar. (one cup of regular sugar and one cup brown sugar). About an hour before it was done, I spooned some of the warm apple butter onto vanilla ice cream. It was Very good! I'll definitely be making this recipe again. Thanks!
