Best Ever Creamy Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2013
Love it! I didn't have broccoli when I made it but it was just as good. I didn't use 4 med onions because I was a little concerned that it may be too much. I used 5 small (golf ball sized) and it seems enough. I added pepper and I may add a little more cheese. But overall... it's a keeper!

Monster Cookies II

Reviewed: May 12, 2013
We have made this recipe several times. The best Monster Cookie recipe ever! We probably use a little more than what is recommended for the corn syrup. We don't measure. But I think a little more helps them to stay chewy.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 4, 2013
LOVE IT! Out of all the banana bread recipes I've tried in my life, this one is the best. I used real butter. Not sure if that would make a difference.

Too bitter and even my kids wouldn't eat it. Disappointing.

Blackberry Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2012
Great recipe! Changes I made: I substituted a little cornstarch for the flour. Changes I would probably make in the future: add a little more sugar. The flavor was awesome. A smidgen tart but not really. My kids thought it would be better with a touch more sugar though. I used fresh picked berries and drained very well so no problems with a soupy pie. I also used egg white on the bottom crust. Overall a good recipe to use again. Loved it!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
I used heavy whipping cream instead of milk which made it a little thick but I wanted a richer flavor. I had to thin it down with 1/2 cut water so I'm not sure if counteracted my attempt. Turned out great though. It made a lot. I think I will cut the recipe in 1/2 next time. Quick, easy, and very good.

Pumpkin Bread V

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
Loved it! And that's really good considering I do not like pumpkin! I used fresh pumpkin, not canned. I doubled the recipe and for the last cup of flour I used wheat flour. A very nicely spiced bread. Definitely will make again! I did have to bake it between 20-30 min longer than what the instructions called for but not sure if that was due to the changes in ingredients I made. And maybe my oven was a little cold to start. Kids loved it too!

Honey Oatmeal Chewies

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
Loved it! I didn't have butter flavored shortening so I used 1 cup regular and then 1/4 cup stick of butter (margarine). I didn't have dates. I used butterscotch chips and pecans. I know oatmeal cookies are usually flat so I don't punish this recipe for that. I was looking for chewy and these do the trick! If I could only find a fat, chewy oatmeal cookie I'd be happy! ;o)

Cranberry Banana Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
For the people who found this recipe dry: When I put the cranberry sauce on top, I swirled it into the batter. When I made the crumble, I used cranberry sauce mixed in to a part of the crumble mixture. As soon as I took the coffee cake out of the oven, I drizzled it with melted butter and a powdered sugar frosting that I made with more cranberry sauce. This was not a dry cake at all with those little enhancements. As a side note, I used pumpkin spice instead of allspice. We'll definitely make this again.
