Bruschetta with Shallots

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
Delicious! However, the second time I made them, I prepared the mixture the night before so the flavors could develop, and it was twice as good. This will be one of my favorites in the future. Thank you, Doreen.

Cheesy Breads

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
Recently, I had a luncheon for several ladies, and I served a fresh fruit salad with all sorts of fruit in it. Instead of the usual rolls, I decided to serve these toasties as well as Crostini with Olives and Feta Cheese, hot from the oven. Everyone loved them, and they were truly a hit. Thank you for the recipe, Barbi.

This recipe is delicious, but I added some chopped fresh rosemary for yet another flavor, and it was a wonderful addition.

Nutty Goat Cheese Bites

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
Delicous! I made this per the recipe, and I loved them. I did make another trip to the refrigerator for more grapes, but I thought this combination was wonderful! Thank you, Virginia!

Cheese Filled Triangles

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
This is an easy and delicious recipe! I found the blend of the spinach and other filling ingredients to be perfect, and the phyllo dough was no trouble to work with, as long as I kept a damp towel over the unusued pieces. This recipe makes an ample amount, which I enjoyed, because I served some and was able to freeze some for another time. Thank you for the recipe, Kathleen! It's a winner!!!

Brie Cheese Appetizer

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
This recipe has earned a place of honor on my Christmas buffet table! I made it exactly as the recipe stated, and it was a huge success. I even found myself wishing I could hang around the Brie as everyone else seemed to be doing! Thank you for the recipe, Susan!

Ham Roll Ups II

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
This recipe did not bowl me over, and I noticed that most of my guests had one but didn't take seconds. It was my own opinion that the green onion overpowered the ham. If I made this again, I might use less onion.

Won Tons

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
These are good won tons, and this recipe makes enough for me to serve half and freeze the other half. I like sweet and sour dipping sauce with these also.

These are good and easy to make, but they are not my favorite candy-coated pecans.

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
No matter what kind of chili you use, this salsa is delicious! I have been looking for a quick and easy salsa recipe, and this is it. It suits my taste fine, although I wouldn't be shy about adding a hotter pepper. I appreciate recipes which are milder and give suggestions for hotter methods, rather than burning my tongue off the first time I try it! Thanks for sharing.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
Nice recipe, but DON'T MELT THE BUTTER! Let it come to room temperature before using, and the ball will hold together nicely. This is unusual, and like many others, I served it with graham crackers and chocolate cookie wafers.

Chocolate Covered Cherries II

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
These cherries were just too sweet for me, and my friends, with whom I made the recipe, felt the same way. If I made them again, I would either use a darker chocolate and/or a different kind of cherry.
