Bacon Wrapped Smokies

The recipe I use calls for sprinkling a little vinegar along with the brown sugar and chilling several hours or overnite before baking.

Best Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2014
5 stars with 1 exception, use Ditalini instead of fettucini, it's what make s Minestrone so good and does wonders for this or any soup.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2013
I think it's probably a great dish but the real "Green Bean Casserole" is a perfect, not too rich dish that goes so well with Thanksgiving dinner, why try to improve on perfection? Call this one: Cheesy, Buttery,Green Beans Casserole.

Stuffed Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2013
I use very large baking potatoes, micro wave them, then cut them in half, and stuff both halves. There's plenty filling to pile it up and it's a much more reasonable portion as a side dish. Wish I had a picture to submit, that photo on the recipe is absolutely gross!!!!!

Easy Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2012
This sounds very tasty, if you use mediterranean veggies that have red beans in them and some broken spagetti this would make a great minestrone.

Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2012
This was truly over rated. I asked my husband how he liked it and his comment was"you've made better". I thought it was pretty ordinary and can't understand the rave reviews. I expected it to be as good as a bacon cheeseburger with everything in the burger. Next time I'll make my reqular burgers, with onion soup, bread crumbs and egg and top them with cheese and bacon.

One Skillet Corned Beef Hash

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2012
Pretty good but beer works better than vinigar and fried eggs are a must. Although my husband prefers scrambled eggs cooked in with the hash.

One Pot Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
Here is the classic Tuna Noodle dinner that I've made and my mother before me. We always just put the noodles back in the pot and added the soup, milk and tuna. Stir it up and it's good to go. We used half as many noodles as this recipe calls for. Cheese, butter and peas came later on, I've done those too as well as baking to melt the cheese. The beauty of the original recipe is that it's sooo simple. Still a great comfort food.
