Bird's Nests

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
Not sure what the purpose of the coconut is? If it is for taste/flavor, then increase the amount to 1 cup (or more). If it is to help hold the nest's shape, then it worked well. Good recipe. Kids loved it (I bought marshmallow Peep birds to sit on top of nests).

Hash Brown Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
Delicious! Make sure to get a nice, crisp brown on the hash browns before moving on to the next step...adds a great texture. Next time, I will add some veggies in.

Mint Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2004
Very good recipe. Although the flavor (and coloring) is similar to Andes candy, this is definitely a fudge. People who thought it was too 'candy-like' may have thought otherwise had they used a 8- or 9-inch square pan so that the pieces were thicker in size. This fudge looks good and tastes better!

Maple Walnut Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2004
This was so much better than I expected! The maple flavor is subtle and the texture is "just-right" creamy. This is a great recipe and I will definitely make this again!

Mocha Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2004
Disaster! This fudge turned to sand when I let it start to cool to room temperature. I tried to follow the recipe very closely, so I am not sure where things went wrong...but oh they went very wrong. Probably won't try this one again...I was able to create my own mocha fudge by adding instant coffee granules to a plain fudge recipe I use (I just stirred them into the sugar before I added to the pot).

Honey Nut White Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2004
Great recipe. Make sure that you press the top layer of nuts into the fudge before you chill. Otherwise all the nuts will just fall off as you slice it. I will definitely make this fudge again!

Spicy Pumpkin Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2004
I reduced the amount of butterscotch in the recipe based on the reviews of others, but in the future I will eliminate it completely and substitute vanilla chips. The pumpkin flavor was completely lost.

Garlic Crab Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2003
I was not completely impressed. My guests enjoyed it, but I was disappointed. The crab flavor was overwhelmed by the other ingredients.

Crabbies

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2003
I did not follow the recipe...my mom gave me an alternate recipe using 1 can crab meat, 1 stick butter, 1 T. mayo, 1 jar of the cheese spread, 1/2 t. seasoned salt, & 12 english muffins--but prepared the same way. They are wonderful served as an appetizer. They are excellent stored in the freezer until ready for use...very convenient!

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2003
I really enjoyed this recipe! However, next time I make it, I will not use as much frosting. Overall--great taste, easy to bake, and a hit with all. Definitely great to take to a party. They were wonderful!!!
