Easy Sugar Cookies

These are so good!!! I made them last night for the second time. I do end up baking them on our stoneware for much longer than the prescribed 8-10 minutes: it's closer to 20 minutes of time.

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

This was great! As other reviewers suggested, I cut the cayenne down to 1/4 teaspoon (it still had a large kick!) and the chicken broth was cut down to 1/2 cup. I also added some onion with the bell pepper and garlic and I only used one bell pepper.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Definitely make sure you read the directions all the way through before making. ;) We ended up finishing the rest of the cupcake the following day because of needing to freeze the cookie dough. Also, the chocolate chips were placed on top of the ball of cookie dough before baking. However, it was still a good recipe. Not one of my absolute favorites, but I would make it again.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

I decided to try out this recipe, as it was the nearest to the recipe my mom always used. It was quite good, although it wasn't as moist as I remember hers. I divided the batter into two loaf pans instead of one, which made the batter look like not enough. However, the bread rose as it baked. I cooked the two pans for 45 minutes instead of 60.

Cinnamon Cookies II

The taste is okay, but the insides are still gooey, after being baked for 14 minutes. I combined many other suggestions as based on some reviews I read here: a brick of cream cheese instead of butter, honey instead of molasses, 1 cup of white sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 tablespoon extra of cinnamon, and added salt and vanilla. My brother and sister loved them. However, we won't be making them again.

Broiled Herb Butter Chicken

I took suggestions from various reviews and created my own. I baked the chicken in foil at 350 for 35 minutes. I also punctured the chicken to allow the herb/butter mixture to soak in more. In addition, I used 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup olive oil. As we didn't have any thyme, I doubled the rosemary (we love rosemary!). Next time I'm going to try marinating the chicken in the herb/butter mixture as well.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

This was a good recipe...however, I'm certain it would taste even better if we hadn't had to reheat it after we came back home (due to timing issues). Next time we're going to cut the butter in half and use light butter as well--it's very buttery!
