Honey Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Fantastic! I have a new favorite sauce! I had made the 'Chicken Nuggets' from Cathryn White and dipped them into this sauce. Thanks for the recipe!

Antipasto Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I used a variety of meats on this, didn't stick to the ones specific to the recipe. I was very happy with it. Simple to throw together and well-received by my guests.

Streusel-Topped Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I gave these a 3 because they are just ok. Not amazing, not terrible. I'd make them again but not with the topping. I would try the crumble topping that is used on apple pies instead.

Oh my! This is an awesome recipe! I was a dork and said, "Mmm!" with every single bite. The husband and kids all loved it.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
Perfectly perfect! Why have I been making the pie on the back of the Libby's can all these years???? This is the best, I will never make anything different. My 9-year-old has been breaking his poor mother's heart all these years by declaring that he doesn't like pumpkin pie... and what do you know? He tried this. He loved it. He had two pieces and another the next morning for breakfast. My life is complete.

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
I'm not sure why this pie is getting so many 5 stars. I hate to say this, I really do, but it's really not that good. I don't know why I strayed from my usual recipe, I guess I wanted to try something new. I knew something was weird when I saw that no flour was added to the apples. I wasn't sure how that yummy apple sauce would form without it, then thought, "Eh, maybe I'm about to learn something new." Nope, as I should've known the inside of the pie turned out dry and the top (due to the flour) was a little mushy, instead of crisp and crumbly. This plan makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Raspberry Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
Eh, these were ok. I consider myself a great baker, but these just did not turn out. They did not hold their shape at all during baking, so I tried another reviewers suggestion of baking them in a mini-muffin tin. Those ones turned out a little, but they were all still hard as rocks the next day.

BAKER'S® ONE BOWL Coconut Macaroons

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
These are perfect just the way they are, don't change a thing :) Next time I think I'll dip the very bottom in some chocolate and let them set up on parchment paper.

Summer Chicken Burgers

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
These sounded so basic I couldn't see what the big deal was, but I'm so glad I made them anyway. The mix of sweet onion, provolone and avocado is amazing! My hsuband is a big beef guy, but even he fell in love with these. It's not summer anymore, but I'll make 'em on the George Foreman for sure :)

Pico de Gallo Chicken Quesadillas

I can not get enough of these! Super delicious. The pico de Gallo is so fresh and tasty. I've been making it as a salsa for chips and tacos and all kinds of things. Try this recipe, you will love it!

Chicken Won Tons

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
Not sure why these didn't turn out very good. Mine were chewy and hard to eat, even though I cooked them longer than the recipe states. Maybe I could've cranked up the heat? Or maybe these just need to be fried. Might try again.

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
Oh my gosh, SO GOOD! I had just picked a ton of fresh peaches from the orchard, so I cut a small 'x' into the skins and placed them in boiling water for about 1 minute. Then dumped them in ice water to cool, peeled and chopped them. It was so fresh, sweet.

Famous Restaurant Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
Whew! WAY too cream cheesy. If I had this sauce in a resteraunt I would probably send it back. It IS quick and easy, I'll give it that, but if you're looking for authentic alfredo you won't like this recipe.

Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
My husband can not get enough of this bread. I've made it to go with pasta dinners and salad lunches... it's easy and wonderful. Oh yeah, the WHOLE house smells like an Italian resteraunt when it's rising and baking. Can't get that effect from a Yankee Candle ;)

Spanish Rice II

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
Very easy to throw together while you're prepping the rest of your meal. The family STILL thought the amt. of chili powder was too spicey (the big babies, lol!) so I'll just decrease that next time and add some hot sauce to my own serving. Very good!

Barbecued Shredded Beef

Reviewed: May 21, 2006
This is DELISH! I used a pork roast because it was what I had on hand. I tossed this in the crockpot so I only used 1 bottle of beer and no water. The combination of the beer and worchestershire is AWESOME. Can't wait to make this again!

This was good. I think I may have over-cooked my shrimp a little... be careful with it!
