I served this last night and every single one of my guests went nuts over it. I barely got a serving myself, lol! I didn't use all the dressing, just tossed enough in till it looked right for my taste. I ended up sending the rest of the dressing home with one my friends who reacted as though I just gave her a Christmas gift.

Banana Banana Bread

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

I'm on the search for a recipe to replace the store mixes I run to, and this one isn't cutting it. I whipped it for several minutes but it was still too dense for my liking and wasn't very sweet. I might give it one more try with oil instead of shortening, as one reviewer suggested.

Sugar Cookies

I swore I'd NEVER stray from my usual cream cheese sugar cookie recipe, but I wanted cookies and had no cream cheese... so I whipped these up. DELIGHTFUL! I didn't change a single thing. I made cutouts and they held their shape perfectly. I think this has to be the best sugar cookie recipe out there. Thank you so much!

Turkey Pot Pie

I hope you're sitting down... my husband AND kids went nuts over this. It's perfect as is. I saw a couple people complain that it's bland... I wonder if they are using a premade crust. NEVER, use a premade crust for anything. They're just terrible. It's very simple to make a good crust from scratch.

Easy Sugar Cookies

My husband asks for these all the time. So simple but so fabulous! One tip... the dough seems to dry out really fast, and the drier the dough, the tougher the cookies are after they're baked. I solved that problem by storing the dough in an airtight container between batches. I take a damp cloth or paper towel and place it on top before I seal it up. Works like a charm.

Chicken Nuggets

I have tried SO many baked nugget recipes over the years and none of them have been good enough to eat twice, so I didn't have high expectations here. I'm so glad I gave them a try! These are so, so good. Can't wait to make them again :) I dipped these into NANCI RENN's 'Honey Mustard Sauce'.

I gave these a 3 because they are just ok. Not amazing, not terrible. I'd make them again but not with the topping. I would try the crumble topping that is used on apple pies instead.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Perfectly perfect! Why have I been making the pie on the back of the Libby's can all these years???? This is the best, I will never make anything different. My 9-year-old has been breaking his poor mother's heart all these years by declaring that he doesn't like pumpkin pie... and what do you know? He tried this. He loved it. He had two pieces and another the next morning for breakfast. My life is complete.

Apple Crumble Pie

I'm not sure why this pie is getting so many 5 stars. I hate to say this, I really do, but it's really not that good. I don't know why I strayed from my usual recipe, I guess I wanted to try something new. I knew something was weird when I saw that no flour was added to the apples. I wasn't sure how that yummy apple sauce would form without it, then thought, "Eh, maybe I'm about to learn something new." Nope, as I should've known the inside of the pie turned out dry and the top (due to the flour) was a little mushy, instead of crisp and crumbly. This plan makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Raspberry Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Eh, these were ok. I consider myself a great baker, but these just did not turn out. They did not hold their shape at all during baking, so I tried another reviewers suggestion of baking them in a mini-muffin tin. Those ones turned out a little, but they were all still hard as rocks the next day.

Summer Chicken Burgers

These sounded so basic I couldn't see what the big deal was, but I'm so glad I made them anyway. The mix of sweet onion, provolone and avocado is amazing! My hsuband is a big beef guy, but even he fell in love with these. It's not summer anymore, but I'll make 'em on the George Foreman for sure :)
