This was a HUGE success and has immediately become a brunch staple. I made it for a family girls' weekend and the ladies raved about it, demanding that it become an annual tradition for the girls weekend getaway. I incorporated some of the changes recommended by other reviewers, mainly, use 12 oz of cream cheese and hearty french bread with a good crust, reduced eggs to 10 and added cinnamon to the egg/milk mixture. For the blueberry sauce, I added some fresh lemon juice.
The one thing I want to experiment with, is getting some crunch into the recipe - the bread on top crisped up a bit, but some additional crunchy texture would send this over the top.
