About this Cook
I'm originally from Southern California. I like to cook and learn new recipes and techniques. I'm married and have a daughter. I'd like to learn to cook healthy meals that my daughter will enjoy eating. I'm also interested in cooking for small dinner parties at my home. http://www.geocities.com/tamrakat/
My favorite things to cook
Crock Pot Chicken stew with butternut squash and zucchini.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Grilled duck on New Years Eve stuffed with fresh Rosemary and basted with olive oil.
My cooking tragedies
When I was 18 years old I offered to host my family's Thanksgiving dinner, but I forgot to take the turkey out of the freezer to defrost it untill that morning.

Spinach and Pasta Shells
It was very good. I used garlic/basil linguini pasta. I think I'll use less red pepper next time and more garlic, but I really like garlic. Thanks for posting this recipe. It was quick and easy.

Oven Fried Chicken II
Wonderful! Crispy on the outside, moist and tender inside. I used drumsticks as my daughter loves them. It was great. I need to use a little more salt next time. Thanks for posting.

Easy Turkey Tetrazzini
It was very good. Will make it again. I used both cream of mushroom and cream of celery soup, and added a half cup of frozen peas. Next time I'll deglaze the pan with white wine after sauteing the mushrooms.
