Grandma's Peach French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2012
Yummy!! I just made a 1/2 batch using 3 eggs a splash of milk and also used canned pears, since I didn't have any peaches on hand. My picky 6yr old loved it too. I made it as a desert for tonight and will have again in the morning.

Baked Oatmeal I

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2012
I made a 1/2 batch and now regret it. We only have one piece left and only me & my child has had any "today". I cut the sugar(s) by a 3rd and used mostly brown sugar with a hint of white sugar. I don't like raisins so I used frozen raspberries and used wild berry applesauce instead of oil. I also added a little cinnamon to the mixture. Will definitely be making this on a regular basis. LOVE IT. I think of it more as a dessert than a breakfast. Of course that could be because I topped my daughters with a little cool-whip. But she loved it without as well.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
Since coming across this great & simple recipe, I have made at least a dozen different batches & has been a hit at work & parties. Women say they are orgasmic. :) How can you go wrong. Like other reviewers I always chill them first. I don't chill before rolling them with my 5yr old little helper. I pop them in the freezer for a while & then transfer to the fridge prior to dipping. I use a strong plastic fork with the 2 middle prongs removed (just bend them back and break off). I also like to mix my chocolates and use a variety for dipping, chocolate almond bark, then add both dark & milk choco candy bars & chips. I also line a cookie sheet & sprinkle excess cookie crumbs to help the bottoms from sticking. I tap the dipped truffle on the side of the pot to remove excess chocolate & just drop onto the sheet. I usually only take out about 6 from the fridge at a time so they stay chilled. You may have areas of uncovered truffle, just use the tip of the fork to recover the areas. I then sprinkle each one with extra crumbles, nuts, decorating colored sugar or powdered sugar...be creative. After I have a cookie sheet filled I then pop them back in the fridge to cool again. My 5 yr old does not like minty things, but loves the Mint Oreo Truffles. Anytime I have taken these to a gathering, there are never any left. So leave a few at home for yourself to enjoy later. This is now one of my staple recipes I take to all parties at their request :-) ENJOY!!!!

Frank's® Red Hot® Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
I have made a similar version below and it's always devoured. I actually prefer serving it cold. I still heat it up in the microwave to blend all the flavors and then chill and serve. 1/2 cup Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (or more to taste) 3 tablespoons Buffalo Wing Sauce 2 cans (10 oz each) Chunk Chicken, drained, chopped (add extra wing sauce to it and to set in flavor) 2 packages (8 oz each) Cream Cheese, softened 2-3 medium Stalks Celery, finely chopped (1 cup) add celery after melting

Eclair Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
YUMMY!!!!! I made this last night with 1pkg French Vanilla & 1pkg Vanilla (all I had at home) also used light honey grahams and Pillsbury Chocolate Fudge frosting (slightly microwaved) after I chilled cake for about an hour. I also let the frosting set about 30min in fridge before covering with foil (no frosting stuck). This was super easy and my 5yr old girl enjoyed helping. The only hard part is getting the 1st piece of cake out. My daughter loves it. Can't wait to take the rest to work so they can try it too. Next time I'll make sure to use all French Vanilla tho.

Ghirardelli Rocky Road Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
great idea... for some reason mine didn't turn out and ended up tossing them. The few I made in my mini cupcake (George Forman type unit) turned out good. Just stuffed a mini marshmallow in the middle and topped of with nuts, closed the lid and tasted good. Would definitely make a mini version again
