My family is big on blackberry pie. Everything is made fresh starting with picking the wild black berries in August. Wanted to prove to my mom how grown I am by making the pie while she was at work (I was 16). Rolled out the dough and then cut the slits into a pretty pattern. Went to flip the dough onto the pie but it would not budge. After a few overly delicate tries, I put too much force in it and the top plopped into the pie and splattered everywhere. If you have ever scrubbed blueberries off white cabinets you know how hard it was to clean. My mom came home to the surprise of a really clean kitchen instead of a homemade pie.

Grilled Salmon I
Perfect. Made it exactly to the recipe and was pleasantly surprised. Was worried it might be too sweet with all the sugar or too salty with all the soy sauce but it was perfect. In the end, it was all perfect.

Ghirardelli(R) Chocolate Dessert Cups
Great idea. Bad follow through. Has anyone done this successfully? -First try popped the balloon dipping. The chocolate was too hot. -Second try the chocolate stuck to the balloon and the bowl collapsed when removing it. Added baking cocoa powder. -Third try the chocolate did not stick to the balloon almost at all and looked like a terrible blob of chocolate.

Cream Cheese Frosting II
It's a dessert on its own. Used it as-is on pumpkin cupcakes (these went fast). Added lemon for lemon cupcakes. Will play with the recipe to make it more of a stand-alone dessert.
