My favorite things to cook
Quick & easy casseroles that taste like I slaved over the stove for hours :-) I also like to make similar Crock Pot recipes. I enjoy making good appetizers &/or desserts to take when I go places (or when I entertain).
My favorite family cooking traditions
Had Thanksgiving for the 1st time at my house this year. Since I am the dest child & grandchild & my parents are young, I kind of thought Thanksgiving would go from my Grandmother to my Mom to my son's wife. No such luck. LOL
My cooking triumphs
I pick recipes well & normally receive compliments on the things I make/bring. I search long & hard for uncomplicated recipes don't have a zillion ingredients yet are still impressive.
My cooking tragedies
During my 1st Thanksgiving: my turkey was a little bit overcooked, my Mother-in-law neglected to tell me a few important things about the (completely from scratch) stuffing recipe & my husband cut his finger slicing the turkey. While not really tradedies & I covered them well (Iay have to have Thanksgiving again next year as it is), they seemed a bit tragic at the time.
