About this Cook
I am getting married in about 5 weeks. I work for the government and push paper all day. I really like to eat more than I like to cook, but I guess that you can't go out to eat everyday.
My favorite things to cook
I like to eat kid-friendly food even though I am not a kid anymore. I like to cook things that feel home-y to me--maybe because I am displaced from the rest of my family. Homestyle green beans, roasted chicken, roast beef, rolls, I love it all!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My sister and I have taken over Thanksgiving and I always make the pies. She hates the feeling of the raw eggs when making the dressing, so I always have to dig in.
My cooking triumphs
When I bake pumpkin pies and everyone loves them!
My cooking tragedies
A pasta dish with cream in it to blush the sauce. My fiance thought it looked like vomit.

Mexican Chicken Kiev
This was yummy. I used strips of pablano peppers and pepper jack cheese. I dipped the chicken in flour, beaten egg, and then into the seasoned flour. I sprayed the tops of the chicken with cooking spray instead of butter and added some shredded pepper jack to the top with 5 minutes left in cooking time. It was great!

Oven Roasted Stuffed Chicken Breasts
I'm sorry. I felt that the stuffing was bland and the recipe lacked seasoning. I added salt and pepper, but it needed something else. The filling sounded delicious but it didn't come through. We picked at it and pitched the leftovers.
