English Butter Tarts

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
Good taste, but I made it exactly as it said and they were really, really runny. Will try again, but alter to make 'thicker'.

Mrs. Sigg's Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
Funniest thing I've seen in a while. I served a few different pie options and the ones that chose pumpkin literally stopped the conversation to go on and on, and ON about how this was the BEST pumpkin pie EVER. A few things: I cooked the pumpkin longer than it said (maybe mine was bigger?). The pie going into the oven was SCARY with how runny it was. I thought for sure it wasn't going to turn out (have no fear-it does set). The filling was enough for two pies. I mixed up my own pumpkin pie spice since I already own those spices. Here is the ratio(have to make about 3 times this for this recipe and measure out what you need): 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice Excellent recipe. I will be using only this one. Amazing what a difference fresh pumpkin makes.....

Greek Pasta Salad with Shrimp, Tomatoes, Zucchini, Peppers, and Feta

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
I made this tonight for a picnic tomorrow. I "tried" it just to make sure it turned out. YUM, YUM! I'm SO not hungry but couldn't resist having a whole bowl! Love the flavour! This will be a regular in our house, even though I usually hate pasta salads!

Spring Biscotti

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
Wow. YUMMY. The dough was a bit sticky, but nothing a little extra flour (when shaping) couldn't handle. I used a tad more orange zest than called for, but otherwise made these exactly like the recipe called for. I also dipped in melted white chocolate along one side. Hubby said '10 out of 10!'. I haven't tried it dipped in cappuccino yet, but I suspect it won't hold up well for that purpose, because they aren't rock hard like many other biscotti out there.

Biscotti Toscani

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
I was skeptical that I would find a biscotti recipe that came close to the store bought ones we like, but these are really good and used ingredients we already have at home. I added an extra tsp of orange zest. Thanks for a great recipe that I will make over and over!
