Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
Excellent! I have made this wonderful recipe a few different ways, it is very versatile. My fav is to add 1c. dried cherries instead of raisins, 1.5c(more/less depending on your preference)toasted sliced almonds, & to the egg or wet ing I add 1.5tsp almond ext +1tsp vanilla. If you like almond these are delicious!

World's Best Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Super easy & tastes fantastic. I mixed the pb, mm creme & flour as others suggested added abit of vanilla too. I also split the batch into two greased pans & added some chopped peanuts to one. Both are superb!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2011
WOW! My first time making bread from scratch & this was a great recipe, easy to follow too. first batch I followed exactly (except subbed agave nectar for honey like others). My family is racing about it. I'm waiting for the second batch to rise. I used a little molasses & sugar because I ran out of agave, then I added with the whole wheat flour one packet microwave organic oatmeal with flax. It looks delicious so far & no change in the rising properties or feel of the dough. I also used my kitchen aid mixer dough hook on speed 2 to knead it as suggested by another baker! I will update on how the oatmeal, molasses wheat comes out. Wonderful recipe, thank you so much Update: I'm not buying bread anymore! My 14yo son loves this so much, even when I added extra"healthy stuff". I'm kind of addicted to making this now, keep thinking I will freeze lots, but my family is eating it too fast! My neighbor is also hooked & going to start making this too. Thank you Nita!

Pumpkin Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
Delicious! My boys give it 2 thumbs up. I did double the recipe so I could freeze some but its such a hit it will likely be gone in the next few days....it made 2 large loaves &12 lg. Muffins. I used half brown/half white sugar, doubled the spices, added a bit of ginger as well, I thought it needed at least double the cinnamon, & we like spice in these type of recipies (pumpkin/zuchinni etc...) a quarter of the flour was whole wheat.....added some choco chips to the muffins too. Very versatile recipe, easy to customize for your likes (nuts, chocolate, coconut). Great! Thanks! Love the combo of beautiful fall flavors

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
Easy & my boys gobbled these up! I doubled it & freeze them for a nice hot breakfast before school, just pop in the toaster! I subbed half the flour for whole wheat to add a little more nutrition. Oh & I added an extra tsp vanilla just because. Thanks!

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
Rave reviews! Brought these to a football party on a sunday am....everyone loved them! So moist & delicious. I used sour cream because I was out of yogurt & butter rather than oil as some others had suggested. I used three lg. Bananas, more than the 1 cup it called for. I used 1/4c.brown sugar +1/2c white sugar because I like the richer taste... Also a little cinnamon& extra vanilla They dissapeared quickly & all my girl friends wanted the recipe! Great recipe thanks!
