Pumpkin Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2005
EXCELLENT! THE ONLY THING I CHANGED WAS THAT MY HUSBAND LOVES A LOT OF SPICE IN HIS CAKE SO I INCREASED THE SPICES TO 3 tsp. CINNAMON 3 tsp. GINGER and 3 tsp. CLOVES. BE WARNED THIS MAKES A LOT OF CAKE...AND ITS A GOOD THING CAUSE AFTER TOPPING WITH CREAM CHEESE ICING AND CHOPPED WALNUTS IT WENT IN NO TIME FLAT!

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2005
WONDERFUL! I WILL ADMIT TO ADDING PECANS TO THE CINNAMON MIXTURE..BUT WHEN I READ ABOUT ALL THE SUGAR GLAZE I HIT ON SOMETHING ...HOT VANILLA SAUCE! I COOKED A BOX OF SUGAR FREE VANILLA PUDDING MIX ON THE STOVE BUT ADDED A THIRD OF A CUP TOO MUCH MILK TO MAKE IT THINNER...SERVED WARM MY WHOLE FAMILY ATE THIS UP LIKE THERE WAS NO TOMORROW!

Creamy Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2005
I MADE THIS SUGAR FREE! ITS LOVELY. I USED A SWEET AND LOW LEMON CAKE MIX AND SUGAR FREE JELLO AND MADE MY OWN LEMON PUDDING BY USING THE SPLENDA WEBSITE'S RECIPE FOR LEMON MERINGUE PIE ( I JUST OMITTED THE PIE). I WHIPPED ONE 8 OZ PACKAGE OF CREAM CHEESE AND SET ASIDE. I THEN WHIPPED SOME HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM THAT HAD BEEN STABILIZED WITH SUGAR FREE LEMON JELLO. I FOLDED HALF OF THIS INTO THE CREAM CHEESE MIX AND LAYERED IT OVER THE PUDDING. I TOOK THE LAST OF THE WHIPPED CREAM AND ADDED A DROP OR TWO OF YELLOW FOOD COLORING TO SET OFF THE FINAL LAYER AND LAYERED IT OVER THE REST. I TOPPED WITH FRESH MINT. DELICIOUS AND A NICE TREAT FOR MY DIABETIC PARENTS.

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
The perfect answer to a lunch box treat! So dense and moist! I used bananas that were not that over-ripe so I added banana flavoring and oh my gosh! Out of this world! They were so pretty with a pecan half on top of each frosted piece. Looking for a coffee break treat? Look no further!

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2004
Excellent flavor! The secret to this fudge is not packing down your powdered sugar so very hard! Use best quality peanut butter and real butter! It is worth the expense for fudge this rich! Wonderful!

My Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
Wonderful! Simple and so easy to adapt to personal preferances! I used it at a chili bar party and put out about 12 different toppings to go with it! I got a fantastic reputation as a great cook and was told what a wonderful winter party idea. Thanks so much!

Out of this world! I used 1 1/4 cups of mini chips and 1 c. of chopped walnuts. I thought my husband was having a seizure he loved this sooo much. I drizzled the whole thing with melted white chocolate and served warm with vanilla bean ice cream. Perfect after a cook out!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2004
What can I say about this recipe other than that if you want to blow away your dinner party here it is! The only change I made was that I withheld the nuts from the frosting and added a cup of toasted coconut to the nuts and pressed then into the sides and top of the cake. I then piped the cream cheese in swirls around the top edge. Very pretty presentation and a knock out dessert that went well with our Columbian coffee. I would give this 12 stars if I could.

Spicy Orange Teriyaki Marinade

Reviewed: May 10, 2004
This is out of sight with chicken wings! I made two small changes though. I used low sodium soy sauce and roasted garlic. This is fantastic with duck as well if you are roasting it on the spit. If you are a grill or barbecue fan...try this!

Banana Cake VI

Wonderful! The only thing i would add is 1/4 cup of sour cream to the mix...the flour can make this cake a little tough, but I have to agree...it is wonderful.
