About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake pies and cup cakes..
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is of German heritage and we make a lot of food out of dough such as Cheese Buttons, Schoopnoodla and ramnoodla. However, I do love the healthy side of cooking and I absolutely love to cook with spinach whenever I can
My cooking tragedies
There's been a few.

Apple Crisp II
This was Fabulous! I only used 1/4 cup of water and the apples were very moist! I did double the entire crumble, but just because that is my favorite part of apple crisp as is my families. They loved it! Only bake as long as the recipe states or your apples will be mush! I plan on making this again in a few more months for the is that good! Serve with french vanilla ice cream over the top.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I
I loved this! I didn't have almonds, but I had pecans on hand so I caramelized the pecans in sugar in olive oil until golden tossed them in the salad. Very elegant salad and I am sure the almonds would have been just as fabulous had I had them on hand.

My Great Grandmother was German and made "Kolaches"...and this recipe took me back to my childhood the minute I bit into the finished product.....Perfect! I'm not sure if it is the exact one she made, but it took me back to the childhood Christmases . thank you! Perfect blend of everything!
