Grilled Ham Steak Kabobs with Peach Slaw

This recipe was wonderful! The ingredients were pretty basic which made it all the more simple to whip up.The recipe was well written and very specific. Our family loved the unique and tangy blend of different spices. The peach slaw was out of this world. The presentation was really nice. There were no leftovers and the family wanted to know when we could fix it again. I really urge everyone to give this a try. I think you'll really enjoy! Hats off to Chef Eddie Matney. Thanks for sharing.

Pepperoni-filled Bread

I read with amusement the previous comments. Obviously anyone will be able to tell that as is this recipe is not low fat, low salt, low carb, low glycemic, etc. However, with some adjustments the levels of fat, salt, carbs, etc can be adjusted; If the person preparing the recipe chooses. I prepared this recipe exactly as is and my family loved it just exactly like it was. With all recipes you may want to add an ingredient or make a substitution. After reading a recipe and looking at the ingredients required I would never fix a recipe and then complain about the nutrional values of it. Most people who cook quite a bit realize that recipes are usually written and prepared the way the cook/family enjoy. They are submitted for others to enjoy fixed as are or to be changed with substitutions made to accomodate the user. Thanks Eleanor, our family really enjoyed this, especially my 20 month old!

Honey Mustard Chicken

This was really good! Just a few basic ingredients that went so well together. The end results were a hit with my picky family. The dish looked so nice when done. I served with some steamed brown rice and fresh asparagus. Yummy! Thanks for the recipe. Everyone should give it a try. They should be well pleased.

Potato Chip Chicken Casserole

Our family enjoyed this recipe. However, as a matter of personal tastes, I would make a few changes the next time. I found the amount of chicken was fine, but like a previous reader, might add a little more rice. More veggies. Also, next time I will double the soup and use a double of a mixture of mayyonaise and miracle whip. Maybe some curry? Just a little something to kick it up a notch. Also, I would like to try some different cheese on top. I wouldn't bake the potato chips but add them last.

Baked Potato

If someone who had never baked a potatoe before were to use this recipe there might be some problems. There are no *guidlines* for the size of potatoe to use. Also, depending on the size, the time and temperature likely would need adjusting. Also, many restaraunts and businesses wrap the potatoe in foil for cooking and convenience sake. Using this ?recipe? for a baked potatoe, I found the potatoe to be extremely tough on the outside and not done on the inside. I think that I would prefer to *wing-it* the next time. This is not a *recipe* I would use again or recommend.

Sweet And Sour Glazed Chicken

This was horrible. The taste was extremely bland. The sauce became too thin during cooking.The presentation was very poor. I would not use as much Russian dressing, more apricot preserves, and double the dry onion soup mix. Also, I would probably throw in garlic, onions, and some curry/ginger, and maybe some soy sauce. I really don't know. I do know this is not a fix again for our family.

Darra's Famous Tuna Waldorf Salad Sandwich Filling

I thought this was an absolutely fabulous recipe. I loved the way that all the ingredients came together to create such a beautiful dish. The flavors all complimented each other quite well. Such a change of pace for something different. I loved this recipe just as it was. However, I may the next time use low fat, no fat ingredients for personal preference/reasons. Yummy way to fancy up tuna!

I enjoyed this recipe as a starter/build on recipe. However, the next time I prepare it, as a matter of personal preference I would only cook the carrots a couple of minutes or not at all. For my taste the marinade was a little too sweet, I would cut the sugar or increase the vinegar. Also, I felt that a splash of worcestire and prepared mustard would have jazzed this recipe up. I enjoy things zesty and spicy so I would throw in some pepper flakes and garlic. The recipe said to chop, which to me indicates smaller pieces. The next time I will cut the peppers, onions, and celery, it will be a little closer to bite size, to equal the carrots. I might try this recipe again with some modifications.

Zesty Porcupine Meatballs

I definitely thought this was 5 star hit!! I always like to prepare a recipe the first time exactly as it has been given. I prepared this recipe for dinner tonight and it was a hit, just as written and prepared. I enjoyed the fact that the ingredients required were things that are pretty much staple in the kitchen, nothing fancy, expensive, or hard to find. The ease of preparation and cooking were a *family friendly* combination that made this even more appealing. The ingredients combine to create an extremely tender, juicy meatball with wonderful flavor that is accentuated by the sauce. I loved how the worcestshire sauce zested up the tomatoe soup, it made a wonderful sauce. The rice was perfectly done inside the meatballs. As the contributor suggested I served with hot rice. It was a family pleasing hit. My picky 18 month old loved the meatballs which was something..she doesn't care for beef very much. However, she loved these meatballs. My equally picky husband isn't much for anything different and even he loved these. I would strongly suggest that anyone try this. And of course, because everyone has individual tastes and preferences you may want to may some adjustments, but please give it a try just as it is first. Thanks Michelle for such a wonderful recipe. This will be a keeper for our family!

I thought this was delicious. However, I found it to be quite greasy even though I used non-stick spray to fry the potatoes. Maybe next time I will cook the sausage (or try using a turkey sausage, or low/no fat sausage) seperate and then mix in with potatoes, onions, and peppers. Also, I will probably add more onions, some garlic, different spices and some hot sauce. All in all in all this was a hit.The smells of the dish as it cooked were heavenly. The presentation was quite pleasing when it was all done. The leftovers, few that they were, were out of this world reheated the next day. This dish was very easy to fix, a wonderful comfort food for the cold winter months to come. I think it would wonderful with a thick crusty bread and perhaps some spiced apples, etc to accompany it. This is definitely a keeper that will be fixed again in our household. For anyone who enjoys sausages, onions, potatoes, and peppers, give this a try. I think you will be quite happy! Thanks Jennifer for an easy to fix, inexpensive, delicious recipe.

Honey Curried Chicken

Although I followed the recipe exactly as written, my sauce was very thin and did not glaze on the chicken. The chicken was not *golden* baked and it was a little dry. I would adjust the amount of ingredients the next time, mainly the curry. Altogether, not too bad. My husband who is really picky ate it. However, this is not one that I would care to make again. This is probably just an individual taste situation.

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf

This was absolutely delicious. I prepared the recipe exactly as noted. I feel that it is best to try it precisely as written before making judgments, substitutions, or adjusting to personal preferences. The ingredients are few, simple, and inexpensive. The flavors blend in beautifully together and complement each other quite nicely. I will make this again exactly the same way.

Adrienne's Cucumber Salad

This was absolutely delicious. Exactly like my grandmother used to make. This is just wonderful with most any type of meat and or as a side dish with any meal. Very cool and refreshing on a hot summer day. The measurements of the ingredients were right on the nose. The dill kicks in a light, tangy zip to an already wonderful taste experience. It is the tang of the vinegar and the sweet of the added sugar that make this such a wonderful, unique, and yummny dish. Thanks so much for sharing this!

Texas Chicken Quesadillas

Outstanding! These were absolutely wonderful and delicious. I prepared the recipe just exactly as mentioned. No problems at all and the results were out of this world. Someone commented on the BBQ sauce, etc...THESE ARE TITLED "TEXAS CHICKEN QUESADILLAS", Texas=BBQ!! Anyone who might be wondering, give them a try just like the recipe calls for. You won't be sorry. Taco Seasoning I

I did not care for this recipe of taco seasoning at all. I would have decreased the cumin which was extremely overwhelming and possibly the chilli powder also. I would have used more garlic and onion powder. (Salts plus sea salt were too salty.) Authentic Mexican flavoring is not like this at all. I love hot and spicy but the red pepper flakes and black salt were overpowering. More like the seasoning of chilli con carne. I will use my own recipe the next time or packaged rather than this recipe again.

Taco Seasoning II

This is a wonderful recipe for taco seasoning. It is absolutely delicious. So much tastier than the packaged mixes at the store, plus there is no salt or artificial ingredients. All the needed items for making this mix you'll find in your kitchen cabinets. We are big fans of Mexican food and spicy dishes. This is a versatile mix that can be used in many different ways. I haved used this to make tacos, casseroles, dips, and it has always been a big hit!

Easy Cheese Ball II

This was an outstanding cheese ball. The ingredients are simple and few. Preparation is easy and quick. I fixed it for our New Year Eve's party and it was a big hit! I followed the basic recipe, using extra sharp cheddar cheese, throwing in a few bacon bits, and rolling it in slivered almonds. However, the taste of the cheese ball with the ranch mix was superb. It went quite well on Triscuits. I think MOST everyone who tries this recipe will be well pleased.
