Learned how to cook for an army because I'm the eldest of seven. So, when I left home and started my family I over cooked and had left-overs for days and sometimes it went badim currently a full time mom for 4 boys 12, 4 and 9 month old twins. Love every insane minute. I'm the most adored loved and blessed wife of my best friend soul mate and love of my life...he is amazing.
My favorite things to cook
Anything marinated slow cooked or baked. Family loves to explore our culture of borderland southern New Mexico dishes, Soul foods and Puerto Rican favorites. We have picky eaters, so I've learned to disguise certain ingredients. Our favorite foods range from pasta and pizza to seasoned chicken or porkchops..with many different sides to compliment.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everyone in the kitchen...you either help prepare or simply sit and conversate....but no matter what we are all in there...love it.
My cooking triumphs
Discovering spices and how to use them.
My cooking tragedies
Grease fire that left emotional scars more than physical scars. Until 6 months ago I couldn't even fry an egg. The popping of the oil sent me screaming....not funny and very true.
