I am a mom to 2 and a grandmother to 2. I work part time as a nurse. I am very involved with my family and love to cook for them.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try out new recipes. I stay away from recipes that will require me to buy a lot of exotic ingredients. I find it a waste to buy something I will use a bit of once and then have to throw away. So I am more of a simple cook. But I love to be challenged. I like to make theme meals for my family and enjoy searching for the recipes to fit my theme.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday dinners are always special. I try a new theme each week. I try new recipes out on them also.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking is much better than my baking. I feel I have triumphed whenever someone says this is so good. That is what I want to do. Please my guests.
My cooking tragedies
I have failed baking many times. I think I have an attitude problem I do so much better at cooking so I focus there. But when I do bake something wonderful it stays in my favorite file and I use it over and over. I can not make bread and won't even try again.

Kielbasa and Cabbage II
This was great. I used 1 tsp of Cajun and pepper as meat was polish sausage with a bit of spice. Also added the large squirt of brown mustard. Then some garlic powder. Yum.

Fried Corn with Smoked Sausage
I had all the ingredients so threw this together. It was very good. I did not use the MSG as that is a no-no in our house. I only used an orange pepper as that is what I had. I also added about 1/2 teaspoon of cajun seasoning and it was perfect.

Pretty Chicken Marinade
I made as written I did leave it overnight and it was still very good. My granddaughter said it was the best chicken. Not sure where it gets the pretty name as it looks like grilled chicken. It should be called great chicken.
