This is my new favorite chocolate chip recipe! These are AWESOME! Using more brown sugar than white and melting the butter make them very chewy, which is how we like them. I made a few slight changes to suit our tastes. I don't like cookies made with butter, so used half margarine and half butter flavored flavored Crisco, and thought it needed a little more salt, so used 3/4 tsp. The only other change was I reduced the vanilla to 1 tsp. as 1 T. gave them too heavy of a vanilla flavor. I would also recommend doubling the recipe if you have any cookie lovers around. Oh- one other thing and this is just personal preference, but we don't like that many chocolate chips, so I used half the amount called for, and in my oven 350 degrees worked well to bake. These are the BEST!
