Strawberry Trifle

This recipe was pretty good. Used pound cake, frozen strawberries, vanilla pudding mix and whipped cream. Brought it to a weekly meeting where I bring desserts each week and people said it was good but nobody raved about it like they usually do about my desserts.

Hamburger Potato Casserole

This was pretty good but next time I will make some changes. Add onion and garlic to meat while frying. Some worchestershire sauce for extra flavor and corn. Also, I think the layers should be meat first, potatoes and then soup. It dries up on top if you don't put the soup last.

Sweet and Sour Drumettes

This was good but very sweet. I think I would like to try it with honey instead of all that sugar. It was very runny. Will add cornstarch next time to thicken. Even my picky 7 year old like it.

Savory Montreal Steak Rub

Cinnamon Chip Filled Crescents

I could not find the cinnamon chips where I live so I used the chocolate chips instead. I liked these but my husband did not. He thought they tasted too much like bread.

Salisbury Steak

I made this yesterday and it was good. Even my picky 3 and 6 year old girls ate it. You definitely need to double the sauce if you want it over your potatoes. I tried cutting back on ketcup, mustard and worcestershire sauce as some people suggested and found it didn't have enough flavor so I ended up added it back. Then it tasted much better. I don't think this recipe needs any changes, good as is.

Apple Crisp II

Too Sweet! I cut back on both sugars and it was still so sweet we could hardly eat it even with icecream, and I'm a certified sweet-aholic. The topping is especially sweet. Probably won't make again.

French Pastry Pie Crust

My crust turned out quite hard. I think I may have worked the dough too much because I had to keep adding more water than the recipe called for or I couldn't get it to roll out as it kept separating. When I finally got the right amount of water and consistency in the dough, it had been worked too much. I suggest adding extra water at the beginning so as not to overwork the dough.

Blueberry Pie

This pie was good but I will change a few things if I make it again. I didn't like the taste of cornstarch in my pie so I will probably try tapioca next time. Also, it wasn't quite sweet enough so I would use 1 cup of sugar. I'm still undecided about the cinnamon. It gives it a different flavor.

Canadian Barn BBQ Sauce

I tried this sauce with chicken and was pleasantly surprized by the taste. It was very good. Has a strong apple flavour which took a bit of getting used to for BBQ sauce. I think this sauce would probably be better on ribs which I will try next time with a little less apple sauce. Overall very good!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Busy Day Chicken

This was easy to prepare and the meat tender and juicy but didn't taste good at all. The sauce was watery and had very little flavour. Maybe it was the kind of BBQ sauce. I used Kraft regular BBQ sauce.

Banana Bread IV

Apple Dumplings I

Yummy! Couldn't believe how good this was. I used Pillsbury Crescent rolls, turned halfway through and then added the sauce. Also, used less water. Had a hard time with the dough when it got soft so would suggest making sure it is very cold when you make this.
