About this Cook
I'm a grad student working on my masters degree in library science. My New Years Resolution this past year was to rate at least 2 recipes a month on cooking websites :) I love to cook for my family and friends! Food is my love language (just ask my boyfriend lol)!
My favorite things to cook
Breads - love working with yeast! Also, casseroles, because they make leftovers which I love to eat for lunch the next day! haha
My favorite family cooking traditions
Decorating Christmas cookies with my mom, aunt and cousins and making gingerbread houses...it doesn't matter that my cousins and I are all in our 20s now...we still do it every year!
My cooking triumphs
None too amazing as yet...
My cooking tragedies
Setting the smoke alarm off 7 times making one recipe. I hate you Enchilada Casserole!!

Cranana Jam
Good recipe - first cranberry jam recipe I've found. Very different, and it tastes great. I made it as written, though I might not put quite as much sugar in next time so you could taste some of the bite of the cranberry. Very sweet, not tart at all. I could definitely taste the banana more than anything else, so I would also recommend using overly ripe bananas to add a sweeter, less banana-y taste.

Cranberry Applesauce Muffins
Good basic recipe - not quite sweet enough for my tastes (and I used sweetened applesauce). Next time I'd either add more sugar or dust the top with course sugar. Otherwise I followed the recipe to the letter.

Fresh Rhubarb Pie
Delicious! I would definitely not skimp on the rhubarb because you want a full pie. Very yummy and will make again!
