Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2012
I have been buying that big 10 lb bag of pancake mix for years and it's good stuff no doubt. However I wanted a good Sunday-breakfast kind of pancake. I tried several from this site and they were ok. They weren't any different from the bagged stuff I got. So when I tried this recipe I wasn't expecting anything different. Boy was I in for a surprise! This pancake is far and above any other pancake out there. I know, it's a pancake, not filet mignon or anything.........but it is! It's the filet mignon of the pancake world! Fluffy yeah, but the aroma and taste is what blew my mind! I didn't think a pancake could taste that good! You don't have to rely on syrup and butter for the flavor. It's good alone, it's good with powdered sugar, it's good with syrup or jelly too. Seriously, I'm done with the 10 lb bag of powdered blandness. Hmmm, I'm gonna go make some now.

Buckeye Balls II

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
Perfection! First of all, the peanut butter/chocolate combo is to die for. Second of all, make these small enough and you can just pop 'em. Which atually is bad if you don't have stretchy pants on hand. :)

Blue Cheese Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
Ok so my husband is out getting the ingredients for this recipe as we speak for a huge football party. I have been told that I am to bring this or a riot will be in effect! I have made this many times over but not exactly as the recipe states. I mix all the ingredients together, I don't do layers. Also I double and sometimes triple the chicken. It depends on how it's requested. This is by far the best dip I have ever made (other than guacamole). Thanks for the recipe!

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
The meatloaf deserves 5 stars! Very good! I did tone down the onions because that many onions would have induced anarchy in my house. This recipe got 4 stars because the sweet topping was not a hit at all. We have discovered that we don't like sweet flavors on our meat so next time I'm going to just throw on some bbq sauce instead. Overall, this is a recipe I will make again.

Quick Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I made this coffee cake using some user's advice. I added an extra 3 tbsp sugar and about a quarter cup more of milk. Other than that I stayed true to the recipe. It was really good, very moist and not too sweet however there was a greasy feel to the cake so next time I might add either 1/4 cup or less of butter favored shortening. OH! I also added more butter. I added 2 tbsp to the brown sugar mix but also drizzled 2 tbsp onto the batter before addding brownsugar mix. It was delish! Very buttery! I won't do that next time since I'll be adding the butter flavored shortening. Thank you for a very quick and delicious coffee cake.

Cornbread and Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
This was a good way to spruce up plain stuffing but I thought it was kind of salty and I tasted the sausage more than anything. Next time I plan on omitting the salt altogether and using half the sausage.

Easy Pizza Sauce II

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
I made this recipe in a pinch since I didn't have any pizza sauce and it was great! I let it simmer for about 7 minutes to thicken it up so I ended up having to double the recipe for 2 pizzas. No problem, I just made a huge batch and froze it into ziplocs. Thanks!

Six Threes Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
I make this recipe for a huge birthday bash and even tho it didn't set at all in my ice cream maker and I didn't add the bananas (turned brown on the way to the party) it was FANTASTIC!!! The favor was so refreshing and light that I will make it again and again once I find a way to make it set in the maker. I won't add the bananas next time either cause the flavor was just so perfect. Thank you for helping me get outta my "gotta have chocolate ice cream" rut by submitting this WINNER recipe!

Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
I followed this recipe exactly and it tasted nothing like what I had when I was stationed in Germany. The picture looks good but the actual recipe looks gross. If I ever make this again, I will leave out the sour cream, onions, and I will season the meat before breading. Sorry.

Never Fail Biscuits

Ok, mine failed..........big time. I followed the recipe exactly and the taste was bland with a side of yuk. They weren't flaky at all and fell apart. I may try again but am not hopeful.

Amish Macaroni Salad

I really liked this although I thought it was a bit too sweet. So I added about a quarter cup mustard just to take the sweetness away. I will make this again, definitely, but with way less sugar.

The Best Pound Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2006
I followed the recipes exactly and it burned bad. I don't know what I did wrong but when I took off the burnt parts, the actual cake was DELISH!! So next time I will make it into loaves and I may have better luck. The crust is my favorite part of pound cake so I was really bummed that I couldn't eat it. But, the cake is so good that I will DEFINITELY try it again!
