Coquito

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
Not hard at all, and it came out yummy! :) This is a great substitute for the rest of the year when the grocery stores don't carry edd nog. Actually, this is better than egg nog since it coconut! I did reduce the alcohol by half because I like my drinks sweet.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
Super easy! I've made the several times, and prefer 4 TBSP of sugar instead of 3. If you add cheese, be sure to do it in the dry stage. I've used several different brands of beer, and me & my boyfriend think that Coors Light makes the best tasting beer bread.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
I've made this several times, so I thought I'd write a review. Easy to make, simple ingredients, and the first time I made it was for breakfast (for just 2 of us), and 1/2 the loaf was gone by noon. I did smash instead of slice the bananas because that just didn't seem right to me. Yum.

It's gets a 2 for being edible. I followed the directions exactly, and it came out really dry. Wouldn't recommend or make again.

Crusty Potato Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
The flavor was just ok. I gave it a 3 because it was easy to put together, and did rise & have a decent texture.

Fast and Easy Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
I wish there was a lower rating than 1. These were aweful. I read the reviews, followed the recipe exactly, was careful not to overmix, but they came out flat & had a weird rubbery texture.

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
Definitely cut back on the butter by 1/4 c as suggested by others. I used milk chocolate chips instead because I prefer the flavor, and these were great! I ate the whole pan myself the first time I made them. For a variation, try peanut butter chips, then sprinkle with milk chocolate chips before you add the top layer of oats. Yum! Thanks for the recipe!

Brownies To Die For

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2007
Just what I was looking for, a thick, moist brownie. Very sweet. My cooking time did take a little longer. Next time I think I'll leave off the chocolate frosting, doesn't need it.

Cheesecake Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2007
I'm on a low carb diet, and this was a lifesaver! I cut the recipe in half, only used 2 eggs, and Splenda. I also omitted the sour cream topping. I have to agree w/others that said they are better cold. Will definitely make again!

Really easy, smelled and tasted great. The only thing I didn't care for the the texture when it was reheated the next day, kind of rubbery. But is was perfect right of of the oven.

Onion Pan-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2006
Definitely add the 1/4 cup bread crumbs as suggested by others, it will make the onion soup less overpowering. I've made them twice & find I have enough coating for 4 pork chops. If you can find Golden Onion soup mix, I think that would work better, but I usually have a hard time finding it.

Chicken Stuff

Easy to make. I used a suggestion from another reviewer of placing the cornbread batter on top to save a step. I also added some canned peas & carrots.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

I cut the brown sugar in half the second time I made it, it was a little much the first time. I make this often & I just use dried onion flakes to save time.

This came out really good & was very easy to make. I didn't use the second container of cool whip as topping, it didn't need it.
