Scones

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2005
They tasted Ok, but not great. I don't really get it because I followed the recipe exactly and ended up with a huge gooey mess. So, like someone else on here wrote, I had to just drop them on and hope for the best. How in the world do you use only as much flour as it says and have a dough you are able to roll out? Maybe there's too much milk, maybe not enough flour....all I know is that this is the first time I have tried to make scones and I was very disappointed with the results. I WILL NOT use this recipe again.

Quick Gnocchi

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2004
This recipe was simple and very quick to make. I made this for my friend on her birthday and she absolutely loved it. It wasn't the prettiest thing I've ever made, but the taste overrules the look. Thanks. I can't wait to make this again.

Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2004
Yummy!!! This was so good. Instead of using potato chips I used Ritz wheat crackers. I also didn't use as much butter as it called for and it turned out amazing. Thanks! I plan to make this for my next family gathering.

Irish Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2004
My husband and I both liked this recipe. The next time I make this I will add more potatoes. I only used half the butter that it called for and it wasn't greasy at all. This was good, very easy and simple to make. One good thing about this recipe is that you probably already have all the ingredients on hand. Thanks!

Microwave Baked Apples

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2004
This was good and very easy to make. However, I think next time I will use half the nutmeg it calls for in the recipe. I only had small red delicious apples and I cut them up instead of leaving them whole. Overall, very tasty and so simple to make. I love that it only takes 3 minutes to have "baked" apples. Thank you! I will definitely make this again.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2004
I didn't have any graham crackers so I left them out. And it still turned out great. I took them to a friend of mine who is a peanut butter cup addict and he was in love! I didn't read any reviews before I made them, so I did it just like it said and I see no problem with the way they came out. Amazing!!!! Thank you for the recipe!

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2003
I read a review where someone used Splenda instead of sugar. So I tried it. This is not because we are diabetic, but because I wanted to cut back on sugar. They turned out like eating sponges. I didn't rate this because in the future I will try this recipe again with sugar. I even added chocolate and peanut butter chips to offset the use of Splenda. Not even the chips helped. I would just like to say that if anyone wants to make these, use real sugar. When I try this recipe again, I will rate it and write another review.

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2003
I made these for my Fourth of July picnic and they disappeared so fast. My family loved them! Also, my husband(who is not an egg lover), ate them and said he wanted me to make more. Thanks for the recipe! Keep up the good work.

Grandma's Egg Custard Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2003
I made this for a 76-year-old woman I am taking care of. She said her mom used to make it all the time and she said it was pretty close. I would definitely make it again. However, next time I will fill the pie pan in the oven because carrying it over resulted in spilling all over the pan. It was a very smooth texture and it didn't taste like scrambled eggs at all. Thank you for this recipe.

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 21, 2003
I'm sure my husband would give these cookies a 5 star rating, but I would not. They were way too crispy for my liking, not very chewy at all. Plus, next time I make them I will use butter instead of shortening. Maybe it's just me, but I think they lack that good butter taste. Thanks for the recipe, though!

Deep Dark Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2003
This cake is soooooo good! I made 30 cupcakes from this recipe. They are so moist and fluffy, I would recommend this recipe to anyone I know. The icing was a bit thin for my taste, but still very good. Overall, this recipe will be a hit no matter where you go. Anyone making their first cake from scratch, try this one. It's amazing! Thanks!

Wicked Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2003
I thought this recipe was ok, but it was very heavy and hard to spread. Also, I baked it for less time than called for and it still came out a little dry. The chocolate taste is very good, though. If I were to make this again, I would bake it for even less time at a lower temperature.

Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2003
This icing is sooooooo good! I read that someone else had to tell their kids to stop eating it, but I had to make myself stop. Also I used butter flavored shortening like another review suggested. All I can say is WOW! So good! Thanks a lot!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

These cookies were great. Not too sweet, but not too bland. I would definitely make them again. Although maybe you should include the recipe for the icing. Thanks for this recipe, I know my whole family will love it for the holidays.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2003
Not only was this easy to make, but it was also very tasty. My husband loved it. Although I didn't have any garlic powder when I made it, I ended up using garlic & herb seasoning. It was really good. I would tell anyone reading this to try this.

Beth's Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
These cookies are amazingly good. I love them. They are soft, flavorful and delicious. In fact, I am giving this recipe to a couple of my friends so they can try it. Keep up the good work!!! One other thing...I don't understand why people said to double up on the frosting ingredients. I actually had the recipe scaled down to 36 cookies and I still had some left over. To anyone who is reading this, try these cookies!!!! You will love them!!

Orange Cream Cookie Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2002
No one in my family liked this recipe. My husband loves Tang and he hated them. My son (who loves cookies to death)took one bite and spit it out. That never happens. Anyway, I found the dough way too dry and had to add 1/3 cup of water just to be able to mix it. The taste is way too sweet. When a 2-year-old won't eat these cookies there has to be something wrong. Sorry. You might want to mention that you have to add water, that helps.
