I made several changes to this recipe. For starters, i doubled it, because the original recipe was very small for my family of 5. i took the advice of other reviewers and added brown sugar and vanilla. Since these are chocolate chip muffins, sort of a "dessert" type muffin, i thought they should be a little bit on the sweet side as opposed to most other types, which these were (i dont know how they would have tasted without my changes). So with that said here are my final changes (recipe doubled) 3 tbs brown sugar, 2 tsp vanilla, 2 c. milk
These were great in texas style muffin pans for 20 minutes. very moist and crisp on top, they didnt stick or crumble
