Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2015
I followed the recipe closely. I will admit that I did sub chicken stock instead of water, as I usually do with fish, turkey or chicken recipes that require water. But this is a great base recipe. Really, really good!! You can doctor to taste of your family if you need to but I would recommend trying to it without first and then adjust. Just keep in mind like all recipes on here. The first time you make you have to watch a little bit more. Cooking time vary with crock pot heat, location etc. Its not a negative of a recipe but the reality of your area. Once you know than... you know. Great Recipe!

Country Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
My family and I really like this, and I cooked it straight as described. No complaints and it allows you to tweek for your families taste. Never cooked Quiche until this, ate it yes, but not cooked it. I have had some quiche tthat is way to fluffy or light which is not true quiche. Its not a meringue!

Chicken Alfredo Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
Didnt like the first time, no taste, I would guess from jarred alfredo. You really have to compensate for it with seasoning. The second time I did this, I used cooked pasta in the dish itself. Added more garlic, dried parsley, pepper and a little more sauce to compensate for the noodles, and added some parm. For the biscuits, if you have time, I brushed with garlic butter and some parm (pasta and garlic bread). The best way (4th time) I cooked the pasta and extra seasoning, let it set in the refrig. over night then heated with the biscuits, probably the best version.

Ratatouille

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
When you add meat, it makes this non-ratatouille btw, defeats the pupose so to speak. I think people are confused on the salt. Since the proper way to cook this, is layers, very lightly salt each layer (key lightly) or I have found Mrs Dash every other layer compliments. As with a cooking is balance, so need to have the layers tasting consistantly. Also note, the layering was done because each vegetable has different cook times and the layers closest to the heat, would be the ones that needed more cooking (onion).

Easy Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
I think this recipe is good and it's like most recipes, you can customize by taste. I think one person missed the easy part of the title and unfairly lowered the rating. I say follow the recipe, I would either add more soup, which cream of celery with cream of chicken combo works here or a little broth did not hurt either.
