Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2005
This was ok. I was expecting alot more based on the reviews. I too used fresh spinach, and reduced fat soup. It didnt taste bad, its just not something I'll make again.

Aileen's Punch

Reviewed: May 25, 2005
Excellent punch. This is my new favorite. I used fresca instead of sprite or 7-up. It was gone in no time, I should have bought the stuff to make a second round!!! YUMMMM!

Garlic Pita Bread Bites

Reviewed: May 25, 2005
These were great. I dont think 10 minutes was long enough to get them completely crispy so I will go for 12 next time. Very good served with any type of dip. Will make again as they are a great alternative to chips.

Tina's Fruit Dip

Reviewed: May 25, 2005
This recipe is simple and delicious. I served it at a party this past weekend and everyone enjoyed it. I served it chilled and it thickened up quite a bit after sitting in the fridge about 4 hours. Thanks for the recipe!!

Asparagus Cashew Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: May 11, 2005
This rice was awesome! The flavors went together very well. I used brown rice instead of Jasmine, so my cooking time was increased. I'll be adding this to my favorites. Thanks Sany!

Easy Cajun Jambalaya

Reviewed: May 11, 2005
This was ok. I probably wont make again. I didnt think it had alot of flavor. On the other hand, maybe I'm just not a Jambalaya fan.

Spinach and Orzo Salad

Reviewed: May 3, 2005
Great salad, I added salt and sun-dried tomatoes. I also thought it was better after it sat about 30 minutes. It tastes alot like a salad at Marcaroni Grill served with sole. Thanks for the recipe,,, will make again

Grandma's Chicken Chardon

Reviewed: May 3, 2005
The chicken came out very moist and tender. I followed recipe exactly, but think I will make a few changes for next time. I will double the butter sauce (not very healthy I know) becaue it seems to cook down to nothing. I will add some garlic to the bottom of the pan as another user suggested and add some sun-dried tomoatos. It was very delicious as is though. It goes VERY well with the spinach and orzo salad from this site.

Salsafied Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2005
This was delicious for what it is; a quick simple meal. Based on other reviews I cut the rice. I only used 1 c, but the mixture came out too soupy, so I would suggest 1 1/2 c. Great with a side of guacamole and tortilla.

Oregon Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2005
I remember eating Salmon patties growing up, so I was so excited to find this recipe. I used italian breadcrumbs instead of cracker crumbs and omitted the parsley. I think they could have used some salt, so I'll add that next time. I cooked them in olive oil, they turned out great. They went great with a salad.

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2005
These are an excellent side dish! I made them rather small and came up with 18 patties. I was out of mozz and parm cheese so I used 1 cup of cheddar. My whole family loved them. Thanks for the recipe.

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2005
These were excellent!!! I made muffins instead of bread, and you cant even tell they were low fat. I didnt have applesauce so I used the large jar of banana baby food and about tbls. of canola oil. I will definately made these again, not only were they a healthy snack for me but I dont feel guilty feeding them to my 11 month old either.

Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Basil

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2005
Yum, this was such an easy and healthy meal! (my favorite kind to make) The only change I made was adding chicken broth instead of wine (I was out). It still turned out great. Will make again.

Frog Eyed Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2005
I'm so glad I found this recipe. My aunt used to make it and I loved it. It's a wonderful way to get in some Vitamin C, and a pretty healthy/low-fat desert. I used splenda instead of sugar and added bananas before serving. I think it'd be great with some apples tossed in too. Will make again.

Chili I

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2005
Wow! Now I know why this has 5 stars and so many great reviews! It was the best chili I've ever made. The flavor of the cocoa and coffee and beer really added something. This is my new chili recipe!! It even freezes well. Thanks Bob!

Pasta and White Beans Gratin

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2005
This was a great meal! My husband and my 10-month old really enjoyed it. I used Mozz. cheese in place of Parm because I was out. Using whole wheat pasta and low fat Ricotta it turned out to be a very healthy meal. It came out to 7 points (when made into 10 servings) on weight watchers. I served with french bread and sald. Will definately make again.

Corn Casserole I

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
This was pretty good, it tasted like a mexican cornbread recipe I have. It wasnt what I would consider a casserole I guess. I might make again, but will continue to look for another recipe.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
This was sooo good! It was snowy and windy last night, and this was the perfect dinner. My mom makes this dish w/o vegatables and lots of pepper, but I loved the addition and the flavor of the veggies (I left the peas out though). I added more salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning than the recipe called for and I used a whole cut up chicken then took the meat off the bones. It was great. Next time I will try using low fat soup to make the dish a little lighter.

Oreo™ Cookie Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2004
So easy and it tastes like cookies and cream. I made this to put in a "goody" tin during Christmas along with another recipe off this site, and it was a big hit. I will be adding this to my list of Christmas baking.

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2004
This was my first time to make candy. The flavor of this toffe was wonderful. It didnt turn out very hard though (not a problem in my opinion, I kind of liked it a bit softer) but this was my fault as I dont think I cooked the butter and sugar long enough. Thanks for the recipe!!
