Caramel Macchiato Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2014
Sooo good! Added about a 1/8 tsp sea salt just because I tasted a salted caramel ice cream before and loved it. Like other reviewers said, I reduced the sugar to 3/4 cup and used half and half instead of milk. It came out very creamy. I also swirled some dark chocolate sauce that I had left over from another dessert we made. Delicious with or without it.

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2014
I am not buying bottled Ranch dressing again. This recipe is better than bottled and most importantly, does not contain all the chemicals and preservatives. This is so easy to make with ingredients I always have at home! Thank you for sharing!!!

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
the only fish I could make my husband eat is real fish sticks from costco and tuna salad sandwich.... until we tried this recipe. This is delicious!!! The sauce is absolutely yummy! My husband ate so much and requested more that we ended up eating fish tacos for 3 consecutive nights, and he's been raving about it so much since then. The only reason why we didn't have it for the whole week was because we ran out of fish! Thanks for sharing this great, great recipe...will definitely be a staple at our house. We did use tilapia fillets instead of cod. But the kind of fish I think is forgiving. Whatever fish you prefer will do.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
Love this recipe. My husband said it is awesome and the best cookies I've ever made. I also used the same recipe to make soft white chocolate macadamia cookies. For this recipe though, I had to add 1tsp of almond extract and exchanged the semi-sweet choco chips with white and used macadamia nuts instead of walnuts and pecans. Yum! Yum!

Super-Simple, Super-Spicy Mongolian Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
Tried this recipe last night. It's very good. The only thing, I would probably lessen the soy sauce a bit next time. It's a little too salty for my taste...or maybe it's just the kind of soy sauce i used. I recommend trying the recipe as is for the first time and go from there. I added a carrot, sliced in thin strips for added color.

I won't need to purchase breakfast sausage again. This is very easy to do and you know exactly what's in the sausage. The flavor is really good. I may experiment on other flavors. Thanks for sharing.

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Great, Easy recipe. It is so easy to make especially with my Kitchenaid (using the flat beater). I used this recipe to make Beef Empanadas and they are great and flaky. I substituted butter for margarine. It's oh so buttery. I will add a little sugar to make the crust a little sweeter next time.

Oatmeal Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
This is an excellent dinner roll recipe that I have been making for years now and the whole family loves them. The only change I've made is to use milk instead of water. I believe it makes the bread more dense. Sesame seeds on top also makes it great.

Wild Rice Stuffing for Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
My husband and I are not stuffing fans, but the search for good stuffing recipe has now ended. This is a wonderful recipe and we loved it. I had to make it again 2 days after thanksgiving because we still had most of our other leftovers and the family requested more. I did make little bit of changes by adding some cooked breakfast sausage and bacon and I also used mixed rice (wild, red, brown, and white) I couldn't find just plain wild rice. I did omit one bouillon cube so it is not too salty. Homemade croutons also makes it really good, but not necessary. You can just buy the croutons in the store. Wonderful recipe.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2006
I've tried different cornbread recipe, and this one I'm sticking with. I do change it a little bit sometime. I add a tablespoon of sour cream, about 1/4 cup of frozen corn, and 1/2 a small can of diced green chilis. It comes out really well and very moist. My husband loves it too, if there's a thick layer of sugar on top..so I add about 2 tbsp of sugar on top before I bake it. Really good, even my 2 year old and 8 months old love it.

This is a good recipe. I made a few changes though, instead of water, I boiled milk and added butter. And put less white sugar and added brown sugar. We couldn't eat enough of it.

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: May 20, 2005
This is excellent cornbread recipe. My husband especially loved it. He craves mexican dishes. I didn't have cream of corn so I made my own from frozen corn and milk. Turned out really good. I added a little bit more of green chilis, and it still could use a little bit more for our taste. just excellent. Served it with Mexican Rice (by AlanasMOM) and stir-fried beef, onions, and peppers. Avocados too! YUM YUM YUM

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

This is really a good potato soup recipe. My husband loved it and even asked if I could make some that he can bring with him for lunch at work! I didn't have tarragon, but it still came out really good. I am going to get some tarragon and see if it'll be even better next time I make it.
