Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Excellent!! Followed a few suggestions by other reviewers and used 1/2 sour cream, 1/2 plain yogurt and I also used 1/4 cup butter and 1/2 cup applesause. I also used 3/4 brown sugar and 3/4 cup Splenda..I also made them into muffins instead of a bundt, baked them at 350 degrees for 20 minutes (made 12 really large muffins)...I also used some of the brown sugar/cinnamon mix and sprinkled it on top of the muffins before I baked them....These were well received an disappeared quickly by the parents at my daughter's soccer game! Thanks for a great recipe!

Cheryl's Spinach Cheesy Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Loveed this one! Used Ragu mushroom pasta sauce (a little less quantity then in the recipe) and used garlic parmesan croutons, which I made into bread crumbs. Used a little more cheese and added a bit of parmesan cheese.....This makes enough for dinner and leftovers for lunch the next day!.....Everyone in the family loved it!!!!!!!!

Strawberry Dream Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
I was totally unsure of this recipes as I was making it! The cake part came out dense and I was not totally convinced that it was cooked through (it was though!)..when I was spreading the frosting it really looked watery but firmed up when it was chilled....As another reviewer suggested, I used stawberry cream cheese in the cake part. It was a nice hint of stawberry without being overpowering....I personally did not care for the cake but I'm giving 5 stars because all my guests loved it!

Perfect Berry Shortcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
I REALLY hate giving 3 star rating but this recipe was just okay.... The biscuits didn't have much flavour (I even added a teaspoon of vanilla) and tasted more like team biscuits...The idea though of grating the butter was terrific!!! I'll keep looking for a good shortcake biscuit!

I've had this recipe in my collection for a few years now and never made them..BIG MISTAKE!!!! Made them last week for a school function and they disappeared quicker then anything I've made before...awesome taste and texture...The only thing I changed was not omit the nuts (allergy in school) This is a keeper!!!!!

Rice Cereal Energy Bars

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
I'm giving this ***** because there is SO mch you can do with this recipe!!! I used sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds along with craisins and dried cherries. I used only honey and added more peanut butter but still found that they were a tad crumbly..I think I'll add 1/4 cup more peanut butter next time...Took these to a soccer tournament and the girls devoured them!!!!! Great healthy boost for between matches!

Thought this was okay....easy to prepare and looked good but didn't have much of a "wow" flavour. Don't think I'd make again....

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
Yahoo what a great dip!!!! I served this for my husbands hockey playoff party. I used 1/2 the hot sauce and used a whole chicken and shredded it.I also used chunky blue cheese in place of the ranch. It didn't look all the great after cooking so I blotted the top with a paper towel to remove some of the grease and added some shredded mozza cheese and chopped green onions and broiled it in the oven until the cheese bubbled. This will now be a staple in my party recipe box!!!!

Buttery Herb Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
Thought this was a really great suace that can be modified very easily. I used fresh mushrooms, used light cream and used basil instead of italian seasoning. I served it with whole wheat fettucini and added broiled salmon to the sauce. I'll definately be making this one again!

Luau Chicken

Thought this was a pretty good recipes. Taste was similar to a jarred sauce but I'd still make this recipe as it was simple! My only changes was to add minced garlic instead of garlic salt and added fresh pineapple...great flavors!
